OK, I surrender...
Ive watched videos, read tips and tricks and ultimately wasted about 5ml of juice playing around with these damned things- they taste great, as long as they don't crack-and they crack.
I have the new ones with the fat wick, extra large, etc etc-
Im either dealing with cracking at the bottom or sucking up juice-
SO.... whats a good alternative? Really- the best cartomizer for kr808 D1 3.7 batt-and no...I dont think I want to get involved with the Vortex after this...

I use mine a while till the base cracks, flip them end over and use them some more.
When that fails, cut off the needle end of a BD 3ml syringe and pop that on.

Also started ordering the metal CE2 instead of the clear ones...
If you really want they'll come apart like the Clearos...seal the bottom with some PTFE plumber's tape (teflon) or use some flour/corn starch paste to insure it seals back up and won't leak if you do crack one open.

Not hard...
Put one on a good solid battery...I use my eGo.
Grip the battery and put your thumb of that same hand near the tip of the carto. Give it a little push with your thumb (about a lbd should be enough). Turn the whole thing in your hand 1/4 turn and push again. Repeat...keep doing this and eventually it'll slide right off.

Once it breaks the seal, do be careful pulling the sleeve the rest of the way off...you don't want to yank the ceramic bowl off the post. If it's a little hard pulling out...maybe lube the little ring up top with some juice and wiggle till it till the CE2 pops out of the little ring. Alternatively, you can try to pull the inner ring out before popping off the sleeve...they don't dig out as easily as they do on the clearos for me...so I just leave them in myself. When putting the sleeve back on...I go ahead and set it on the bowl.

Note...you want to look inside the sleeve and make sure you put the same end back on that came off...you'll see the indentions of the little grooves in good light.

I primarily buy them for making MAP Tank mods- they do crack easy and the syringe idea is about the best solution other than making your own mods. I don't see them changing the plastic as they want you to buy more. They don't just crack out of the blue-I think it's more when your not holding the base when screwing in, drop it, or put a drip tip on that's a bit tight. If you do pull the cup off accidentally when taking them apart you can re-solder the connections and they work fine. Pretty durable overall.

I have 5 metal tubes from CE2 R2's (R2's were total crap) that I removed and use with the new R5's as not-so-clear-now-amizers.

Being able to see the juice level just isn't worth the headache the plastic tubes cause. And no, I'm not interested in the "h3roin addict look" mod A.K.A. BD syringe mod.

BTW, why the *F* is "h3roin" a blocked word?

The cracking is why I toss the factory tube and mod the BD 3ml syringe to fit---they don't slip off as easy either. :)
I tried one of these 3ml syringes today, I just cut it with a box knife to the same lenght as the Xl clearomizer sleeve and lightly sanded the inside and outside edges and it works wonderfully. This one will last forever because it is a lot thicker. Thanks jj2

If these syringes dont crack. how come they dont take notes from, fx here or youtube and make some stuff that works out of the box..... I wanna buy a product, take it out, fill it up and vape the damn thing without all that hassle....

It does kinda boggle the mind.

The bottles that my e-Juice comes in doesn’t crack. The bottles my DIY flavors come in doesn’t crack. The syringes that people use to mod or fill doesn’t crack. But the manufacture keeps pumping out tens of thousands of cartos that do.

Makes you wonder if they have an entire warehouse full of plastic tubes that they want to get rid of? That or their just not too bright.

Or both.
