@jwbnyc yeah it probably would loosen up some, my other concern with it is that I wasn't sure that if something happened, that heavier, longer spring wouldn't allow the button top battery to drop away from the positive contact to break the connection. I know that with the built in protection circuitry, that probably a battery shorting and venting might not happen, but just seems an added safety feature.

I really don't think a collapsing battery spring is a feature built in to any ProVari...

Mechs perhaps, Just not a Provi.
