My regular mix is 75% PG/25% VG, but the stuff I got from MBV is 65/35.

I went through 5 cartomizers in 1 week. Filling a new one and reporting back is just gonna waste more cartomizers. I don't have the funds for that.

I tried a clearomizer (i think) and it burned out in three days with the MBV juice.

What flavors are we talking about here? If it's crudding up a clearo in 3 days and the same liquid is crudding up a carto in less than 24 hours... like I said - what flavor is it? Usually it's the very dark colored liquids or very sweet flavors that cause the problems.

Like it or not, some flavors can do just what you are getting and gunk up a coil in anything - atty, clearo or carto - in a matter of days, if not hours. If that's what's going on then this isn't a flavor to use with cartos - it's killing them off and nothing is going to prevent that from happening. The problem is with the flavoring and/or sweetener in the liquid. Making it thinner won't prevent it from happening again. At least with the likes of a Kanger bottom coil clearo you can clean the coil. There isn't much of anything you can do to clean burned on residue on the coil inside a carto coil once that happens.

I don't know about diluting with water...
but can you clean your cartos? if you do... doesn't it taste burnt right away or does it turn that way in a few hours...

as I stated in my previous post that I have a liquid like that as well... and will probably need to clean my coils after vaping 1 ml each time.
you never did mention exactly what eh flavor was....
might be helpful for someone else ordering the same thing

yes that would work...
I'm still learning how to clean it out properly so that it doesn't taste burnt..
I'm dry burning the flavor wicks with just a lighter... tutorial video on YouTube they use a butane torch.
doesn't seem to burn it off the same way... so now I'm replacing flavor wicks... last time I tried I think it was too thick.
not sure... I just popped in a different coil and figured I would learn it later...

lots to learn when it comes to vaping.

edit:
I use the Kanger T3S clearomizers. and my wife uses the iClear16 clearomizers...
I find cleaning he iclear16 clearomizers a lot easier... the coils are accessible but since I vape more I get more dry hits with it.
don't get dry hits with the T3S,

So, I don't know if this was on their site when I ordered, but I looked up the flavor I'm having trouble with, and I found this:

"This flavor is known to clog atomizers, cartomizers and tanks, it is recommended that when using this flavor to use a thin blend (ie 80pg/20vg) to mitigate this issue. Use at your own risk."

Could I just water it down with tap water, knowing that the flavor won't be very strong, or should I just throw it away?

Use distilled water for dilution. A little bit goes a long way.

I have noticed with some fruit flavors what tends to happen is the contents of the flavoring used will cause build up on the coils, making it so the liquid doesn't get to the coil and starts to burn the residue on the coil, this burned residue comes off into the liquid making it taste not great. I ran melon flavor through a tank for almost a week and the coil was almost as clean as when I put it in, I used a pomegranate/blueberry liquid in it for between 3-4 hours and it would start to bleed dark color outside of the wick holes. Once disassembled the coil was completely caked in dark residue. I had to move to a dripper for certain liquids. I have cut my liquids with diluted water and vodka before both work fairly well, but do do the math for the amount your diluting, or you might over dilute and not good stuff.. 5% good starting area.

I had this problem on my AGA-T2 after I first got it. I read somewhere that it was the sweet flavorings caramelizing from the heat, and this was confirmed by the vape shop I got my fluid at. When my fluid turns dark it seems to taste even better to me.

To OP,
I also have my fluid turn dark very quickly. I believe it is "the sweet flavorings caramelizing from the heat" as mentioned above. I notice it will clog my atomizers within a week leaving them unusable. I also use a Diver and the caramelizing effect will be pronounced within an hour. Since I like my eliquid sweetened I just go with what is given. I have had no change in the taste or vapor once the eliquid color has changed.
I would be interested to hear from people if using no sweetener in their eliquid did not bring about any change in color.

to OP.

my experience is, i've tried silica, ss mesh and x116 for the wick. with kanthal 30 A-1 wire.

taste on silica wick is not that good and it starts to produce the brunt taste very quickly after days so i replaced it with SS mesh.
SS mesh was ok on taste but then it always turn my ejuice into darker color after just few drags so i stopping using it just because i am afraid that it may release some bad martial into the juice and maybe it's potentially harmful for health.
finally i went with x116 wick. it just looks like silica but its more stronger and very easy to clean, i just have to take it out and burn it through my stove then soak it in water then it looks like new.
so far i think x116 is the best material for doing my own wick. it produce grade taste, easy to clean, and does not make my juice dirty.
