Actually it was a reference to Back to the Future but I am an in-the-closet nerd. lol

OK... just googled 'star trek Flux capacitor' and doc brown wasn't the only one that used one. The flux capacitor was referenced in the episode "Hollow Pursuits" Next Generation and "What You Leave Behind" DS9. According to the "start trek encycolpedia" (who the heck new there was one!) " the existence of a "flux capacitor" in the Trek universe is a light-hearted nod to the Back to the Future series of films, in which the device enables time travel."

I am not a trekkie (although I love all things sci-fi) I am however trying to find ways today to not look at the stock market, so looking up instances of who has used a flux capacitor will do for a little while!

Huh, didn't know that. I was never a Trek fan myself. Now if they ever made a Star Wars series I'd be all over that.

Picard is cool (he's also cool in the x-men)! I liked DS9 because it actually had a story to follow. I used to watch the original star trek in the 70's when I was a kid and the parents went to the discos on a saturday night. I think by then they were mostly repeats. Star Trek then Fantasy Island. I'm not a huge star trek fan and I find the whole trekkie thing (conventions and dressing up like them) a little silly, but I do love all things si-fi. I pretty much only read sci-fi or fantasy. Piers Anthony, Jalk Chalker etc.

I read just about everything Piers Anthony wrote. His work was one of my first introductions to fantasy novels. I always enjoyed his slapstick humor.

I was a fan of "Next Generation for a minute when it came out. I like to watch bits and pieces of the original for it's campiness. Shatner cracks me up. The only Sci-Fi series that I really liked a lot was Firefly. Liked everything about that except for the fact that Fox canceled it so soon. Stupid Fox.
I was glad they made the movie Serenity though, great movie.

I streamed all of the Firefly series and the movie from Netflix several months ago and loved it. What a shame that one never went farther.

Haha! I streamed them all and watched them again. I have Serenity on the DVR in 1080p that I'm saving to watch when the wife's away. She hates sci-fi. (yeah, that's how wild I get when she's away)

Kevin and I are watching the series "24" now. We are almost done with season 3. We watch 2 episodes a night, but if I were watching it alone I'd watch 3 or 4 a night LOL

Shhhhh!! Don't tell me what happens, this is the first time I've seen the show :p
I'm the same way when I find a good show. I go on a watching binge and watch several episodes in a row. Often times, until I can't keep my eyes open any longer or I get a headache from staring at my monitor. lol

That's why I stream stuff 5C...so I can watch it on my own schedule :)

We won't talk about how I got "Oz", "The Sopranos", "The Shield" etc ;)

Same way I get all them series my daughter likes watching. She watches season after season. I can only remember "The Sopranos", "Angel", oh and "lost". The only one I've seen a couple of is "The Sopranos".
