That was a great meet up! I think I counted 20 of us in all. It was really nice seeing everyone again and there were lots of interesting goodies to look at. If anyone on the Tampa side of the bay can help find a good spot to hold a meet up, we'll head over there next month. Let me know if you come up with a place.
OK...if you cats are willing to travel over to Lakeland, I'll arrange a complete vape meet for us inland peeps...let me know

I think it's time we went to Lakeland. go for it Steelrat. I'm sure there will be some folks from this side of the bay that won't make the trip over there but I will. We'll need to get some support from the Tampa and Lakeland areas, which I'm sure we'll get. How about we shout for Sept 24th?
Do you folks ever meet up on the south side of the bay? Bradenton? Sarasota? There's a growing number of us down here in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area; but it would be nice meet up with all of you guys sometime too.
We used to meet in Bradenton every 3rd meet up. How about you set one up for October? I know Laurel would be happy!

Was a nice meet! Of course I was a sad panda that Magnus didn't show and we missed a ton Linda too! Still, was nice time, been too long!
@Ever1ast - I have been waiting 2 freaking years for more vapers to show up on this side of the skyway. We used to do meets in Bradenton every so often but there was only 1 or 2 of us from this side of skyway attending so we stopped. I have been seeing more folks in SW area between me in Sarasota/Venice area and the Fort Myers/Cape Coral vaper numbers seem to be growing too. I know a few vapers in Port Charlotte and I know of a few in Bradenton too. If you want to do a meet more to the south go for it - I'd try to attend for sure long as it isn't on same day as north meet (or Vapercon ROFL)
Honestly, it would be nice to see some more groups around FL form. Meetups are such a great way to see/try many things, meet new folks and I swear live meets are a wonderful/amazing thing to new vapers especially. Some of the folks from the north might venture down too! Hey..isn't NurseCin in Cape/Fort area too?? I bet there is already enough for a group but folks just haven't come together yet. Find a place that serves food, drink and will allow vaping and see where it goes! I'd be tickled to bits

Oh yeah... that picture of me with vapor cloud in front - one of best pix of me in 20yrs right up there with the middle finger picture from Vapestock ROFL!! I don't know why but I always photograph HORRIBLY!! I mean look at all the other people looking happy and wonderful.. Me, MEH! I am just not a photogenic person ROFL! lol funny cin and i were talking about trying to set one up down there (cape coral) for people..so if someone wants to do it go for it! or if you need us to do it we will. was gonna start calling places next weekend when im down there (weather permitting) let me know! i know id go if there were some down there.
@Laurel - I couldn't put a number on it, but I know the numbers are growing down here. I see the occasional reference to Cape Coral in the FL group, and I see the increasing number of people in and out of our local shop when I stop by there. What I don't know is how many are active on ECF. Hopefully, one of these days we'll get organized enough for a meet. I know Scott and Lorrie (VapinintheCape) have done a meet in the past, and have mentioned doing another. If we ever 'get it together' I'll be sure to let you know.

I'd love to meet up with you all sometime. Not that Tampa is much further away than Bradenton, but the access from I75 would be alot easier I think. I'll keep my eyes open and watch to see when you guys get together next

Jenn - I've never been to a meet yet, and would prefer to attend at least one to see all of what goes into planning one before I go off and do it on my own. But if you're thinking about doing one down here I'd be more than happy to help with whatever I'm able to do (and could probably get another 1 or 2 coworkers that are vaping now too to help also). Just let me know
When meets are scheduled (other groups too, not just ours) we advertise it EVERYWHERE!! ECF, Twitter, Facebook, Vapersplace, other vape forums..wherever we can. Some might see on ECF while others might see it elsewhere. One meet can draw folks from a variety of places online.
My sister lives in Cape Coral too and has converted a few folks herself but never been to a meet. I know there are a fair number of you guys down there so if someone planned a meet and then we plastered it everywhere - I think you might be surprised to see how many pop out of the woodwork. Hell I wonder if I could drag my sister to one finally...she's been vaping 2 yrs and not one meet ROFL.
Plus...some folks might not come to the first one but once they see pix or hear people talking about it, they will want to make the next one. If you build it, they will come.
The meets are not formal or anything. Just a bunch of folks yakking, laughing and vaping - oh yeah, eating and drinking too lol. We usually ask people to tip generously since we take up table space for quite some time. After a few meets you start getting to know all the names/faces and look forward to seeing the folks at following meetings. Actually meeting might be the wrong word...a get together is more like it
Generally sports type bars seem to be the most vaper friendly option since they usually have places for smokers and serve food/drink... damn draconian smoking rules lol. Oustide patios too when weather cools are a good option but AC is pretty sweet lol.
Oh, I live near I75 too so I'll keep eyes open for any meets that aren't too far. I'd be game!

all ive ever done is call ask for the manager explain we usually have a group of 20+ that we use electronic cigs..the date time and if they allow it. all they can say is yes or no. if its no go to the next one. weve been to sports bars, wing house, brewhouses, vodka lounges, totally wicked lounge, clubhouses, it just depends on the weather if you want to be outside or if they allow us inside.
let me know im more than happy to call around we can look to try it early october maybe? im thinking if our meet is end of sept..and vapercon is the 3rd weekend in oct we can shoot for the second week or look more towards nov.
