Buddy of mine got me interested and walked me through the steps.

Helped me find a local shop in phoenix,az and i picked up two evods and a 18mg botttle of Hot Rod Vapor's Redline Lemonade. Buddy let me barrow a battery for the night. Met up with him again this afternoon cause he picked up a joyetech ego-c twist from another shop for me so i paid him for it and now i have a great start!

WooT!

Excited to pick up a new tech hobby!

Congrats on the switch to vaping!

You might want to read some of the threads on here about juices that can damage tanks. Any type of citrus juices and cinnamon and many other juices will damage or crack tanks. You need glass tanks for those type juices, something like a Kanger Protank. I bought a Protank because I like the cinnamon juices and I absolutely love my Protank.

WELCOME! And GOOD LUCK!

I smoked for 26 years. Got a Lavatube V2 and a Kanger protank 3 days ago - smoke free for 3 days. This setup actually is working for me. Tried patches, gum and the V2 cigs - still had cravings. With the current setup no craving so far (fingers crossed). Using Blue Water Punch liquid and have some Shark Clove on order. Glad I found vape before it was too late.

Thanjs for the tip. Id like to get a glass one like the protank just because i like quality products that last a while. Ill probably try to pick one up next week and try it out.

Just be aware there is a ProTank-2 coming out this month. Might want to wait for that as they've improved the design, easier to clean and you can use delrin (plastic) drip tips instead of putting that cold kanger protank metal in your mouth.

Welcome to your new home away from home!

First tip(s)

Get a few replacement coils for those Evods, as coils don't last forever, and you don't want to be left i the lurch when they fail. NOrmal usage will "gunk" them up over time - it varies depending on the juice. So you want to be prepared.

Get a second battery, so you can vape while one is charging. Again, you don't want to be biting you nails waiting to have enough power to vape.

There are some threads here on "tank cracker" juices, so you might want to hunt them down. Some juices do react with some plastics, and it's not just a mess, but you've lost your device as well as the juice.

Welcome aboard, enjoy the fray. This place is great. Only takes about a month before you're spending all your time here and on vendor websites, destroying relationships with friends and family and decimating your bank account. But, you'll be healthier and you'll always have us. :D

...picked up two evods and a 18mg botttle of Hot Rod Vapor's Redline Lemonade...

I was dismayed when Susie right out of the gate went negative with the 'beware the tank crackers' comment. Then I reread your original post. Now I concur...beware the tanks crackers! :) The lemonade + evod (or most any other plastic clearo) is a bad recipe. As she said, as a general rule, beware citrus, cinnamon, and add colas to the list.
But, having said that, I've used evods since they came on the market early this year with dozens of flavors and only cracked two. And, one of those times I ignored the 'rule' and put some pink lemonade in it, as if my evod was magically better than everybody else's.
