Hey everyone, 1st day vaping so here's a bit about me.
Smoked for 30 years and quit March 2012 but caved in June of this year after a house move. Didn't want to go back onto the cigarettes [Old Holborn, liquorice papers and no filters] so bought a pipe and just puffed once or twice a week over a pint.
If I was to be honest I'd say I've been a stressy git since I quit and I'm sure the girlfriend and kids preferred me smoking. Based on the theory that my body just can't function without nicotine I decided to give this vaping a go.
Got delivery of the Innokin itaste vv 3.0 today with 2 bottles of liquid. Decided on 18mg tobacco and 18mg menthol to start.
OK so now for the verdict, so far so good and no stress. :)

Welcome to the forum SteveMc, and congratulations on starting the right way - that's a nice setup to begin with.

Hang out here, you'll learn loads and maybe even make a few friends along the way.

Two bits of advice I got when I first started that have helped me along the way.

1. Never screw anything on to your battery more than finger tight at the most.

2. Always, always have backups. Backup for your battery, topper, coils, charger, juice and everything else. Then get backups for your backups because the day something breaks, the urge to go buy a pack of smokes (or a pouch of baccy) will be almost impossible to resist.

Again, welcome and may all your vapes be flavorful. :toast:

Congrats and welcome to the forum SteveMc! There's a wealth of information here as well as a very helpful/supportive community of vapers and excellent forum vendors to get you what you needI will be approaching 2 weeks analogue free this Tuesday and having smoked for 20 years, I never thought I would see the day I would be smoke free, soOOoo much easier with the help . Vaping definitely has eased the transisiont as I'm sure it will for you. You're off to a good start with your Innokin itaste and e-juice, welcome to the world of vaping!

Congrats Steve....I can say from experience make sure you do your homework and research your set up to make sure you are reaping the maximum benefits as that seems to be a reason that people fail at this attempt. If you are loaded with the correct information this transition can be awesome for you. This forum has been very helpful to me there is lots of information, it is very informative and the members are awesome and helpful. I only joined this month but I was a creeper daily for probably 2 months before I joined. Probably good that you joined right off the bat. I only use egos and Vision Spinners but they are enough for me right now. I am satisfied and that is what it takes to make this transition work. Good luck to you on your venture and hope to see you around the forum.

Welcome SteveMc and congrats on making the switch, you won't regret it. A word of caution with the itaste 3, if you have an older version without the rivet to hold in the usb connection on the bottom, it can pull out when you unplug your usb cable. It happened to me last we and I was happy I had my spinner as a backup. I was able to get my itaste 3 replaced under warranty though. :toast:

As others have said...Welcome and congrats on day 1 of vaping, SteveMc. I hope you find ECF to be a great source of information. It looks like you made a wise choice in equipment. I usually vape a combination of menthol and tobacco flavored blend at 18mg and it's been working great for me. Wishing you good vaping.
