Man, yesterday I O.D. on nic, and today all my cartos taste like qurap! Does vaping do something to your sense of taste over the first few days? I have quit analogs in the past for years at a time, and this is not like that ....
My cartos have a pork-rind sort of flavor (only way I can describe it), and it's all 4 flavors. A brand new carto is ok for about 4 drags, then pork-rinds! 8-o
PS - food and drink tastes fine

i just found in the beginning that theres some things your gonna like and ALOT of stuff your not! dont give up! your cartos might not have enough juice or something. if your dig'n the first few drags but then something changes, it sounds to me like something is wrong! keep experimenting (with out O.D.'ing)! theres def a learning curve when vaping! ya just gotta keep trying til you find what works for you! i hope you find something you like! good luck

Ok, I think I just had an "A-ha" moment ...... yesterday everything was good, yummy flavors with my new Blu, etc.
The way I was inhaling since I don't like much of a TH and these cartos are a bit strong, was to take a couple quick puffs, hold it in my mouth, then inhale, etc ....
Today I have been trying to take slower, longer drags ..... and I just noticed the smoke has been warmer today, my carto is a bit warm, and .... pork-rinds!
Could I be flaming my carto or something? I just tried going back to my "quick hit" method, and the pork is gone!

Is there any bitter taste? Bitter would mean they got singed from not having enough juice. And if they are sweet flavors, bitter will first just erase the sweetness since bitter counteracts sweet and they would only get to bitter if you singed them more.

Also - you need to smell the vapor. Your tongue can only taste sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (savory aka msg). Everything else is aroma. And other flavors or smells from good or drink can interfere with tasting/smelling the vapor as can hot drinks and alcohol.

Are these prefilled cartomizers? Prefills are not always the best filled cartos so I recommend a plain tobacco juice you like to top off tobacco cartos and a sweet vanilla to top off sweet flavors and even sweet tobaccos. If you filled these cartos yourself, what kind of cartos, what PG/VG juice did you put in, what capacity are the cartos, and how much juice did you put in?

It's not a bitter taste ..... hard to describe, but more "woodsy" with none of the cherry, coffee, vanilla or menthol I was getting yesterday. (they are Blu pre-filled cartos) I call it pork-rinds .....
Just sitting here, when I take a slow, long draw ...... pork .... warm pork
Couple of quick inhales, almost like smoking a cigar ...... cherry
I'll stick with my quick hit method till I get my juice and can play with the cartos a bit.

Note - with sweet flavors, you get loss of sweetness from slight singeing and that can mess up your perception of the flavors. Like for vanilla, you expect a certain amount of sweetness on the tongue paired with the aroma of vanilla.

Blu cartos are VG and some think VG has an oily or greasy feel. Maybe you would prefer high PG juices which let through the flavor and nicotine TH better (though make less visible vapor). I recommend 80PG/20VG in cartos. And you can use Boge 510 standard resistance (around 3 ohms) cartomizer blanks on Blu.
