Waking up with funny taste in my mouth?

I'm really enjoying vape'ing (2weeks now), and am 10 days analog free, but recently I have been waking up with this awful taste in my mouth. I have been vape'ing a new flavor JC Red Oak Swiss Dark (100%VG) for 4 days almost exclusive because I love it. I'm not sure why I am getting this taste in my mouth? it's just terrible but goes away after about an hour, thank goodness. Is this years of Analog smoking I'm tasting, or 100% VG or the Swiss Dark flavor hangover? or even my new SmokTech 510 1.5ohm DC Mega Carto's somehow?

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? This taste is so bad it's hard to describe and I'm beginning to question long-term vape'ing. It even makes food taste bad. Any ideas? Thanks for your help, I just tried changing my flavor to JC RO Tennesee Cured.

I had this too and I found for me, the problem was not drinking enough water. Try drinking water before you go to bed and see if that helps get rid of the morning bad taste.

I honestly chalked it up to getting my taste buds back and realizing just how bad morning breath tastes. Yeah gross I know. Food will taste differently because you will actually taste it again.

I switched to a 2ohm carto and set my iTaste to 4.6v, maybe a cooler vape will help? Thanks I will try the water idea tonight before bed.

Congrats on 10 days analog free. The bad taste I think is part of vaping . You can either deal with it or don't go to sleep, good luck too you !!!

I have also been using the Biotene it is a bit expensive, but has worked wonders for me. Everything tastes so different even just after 1 week of no analogs.

Cant really speak on a odd taste in your mouth due to vaping, but I can say any weird taste that subsides is BY FAR better than going about the day smelling my an ash tray, coughing, weezing, hacking, and many more discomforts that go along with smoking. 1 week analog free here, and do NOT miss it one bit. Congots to you as well!

Vaping ABSOLUTELY supersedes smoking in my book.

Yeah, I think it's just morning breath. After some mouth wash it goes away (for me anyway). Your mouth contains billions of bacteria. Bacteria tastes bad and since you are gaining your taste buds and sense of smell back, it is more easily noticeable. (Correct me if I am wrong but that's my hypothesis and conclusion)

I agree mostly with the morning breath aspect, but I do have a question: Ar you by chance taking Lunesta? That gave a horrible, metallic taste in my mouth every morning. Worked like a charm though.

I had the same thing at first. drinking plenty of water + more time analog-free did the trick.

No I dont take any meds right now. I think you are right, it just takes time, but boy it is horrible

Also experiencing a metalic taste in mouth and also just a hint of a sore throat not really sore almost like the beginings of an ulcer im clear for 11 days of the coffin nails so im putting it down to the start of the taste buds coming out of hiding after 30 years and the throat is also on the change and will return to normal ....along with lungs ,nose,breath,clothes ,house etc etc one thing i did find out the smell in the car is harder to shift lol i open the door despite a good clean still smell the rank stale smoke smell......

still all of the downers above vs vapour ...no contest VAPOUR RULES
