OK, almost 3 days since my G6 arrived and I can say that so far I am very satisfied with it. I had my last analog as I was unwrapping the G6 and haven't had an analog since. The most amazing thing to me is that in the last 2 mornings when I got up I thought I would have an unbelievable craving for analogs but no, just vaping a bit on the G6 gave me what I wanted and I have not even come close to breaking down and running out to buy analogs. I thought I'd be vaping constantly to avoid analogs but that hasn't been the case. In fact, I think I vape much less than I smoked analogs. I've also used less carts than I thought I would, haven't really totally emptied one yet, probably because I keep trying different juices and haven't run a battery completely down either. I vape for several hours with the same battery and cart then swap them out so it seems to me that 2 batteries at a time in use should be enough to last me all day and 2 carts more than enough per day, though I was a 2 pack a day analog smoker.

I tried Tribecca, Kringle's Kurse, Turkish and Malibu, with Sub-Zero and Belgian Cocoa yet to go. I really like Tribecca, don't care much for the Turkish, which seems bitter to me. The Malibu I find refreshing and somewhat similar to the analogs I smoked (Camel Crush, which have a small ball in the filter that you crush if you want to turn it into a mentol). Kringle's Kurse was a surprise they threw into the package and I love the peppermint tang. I am beginning to wonder if I might like the non-tobacco flavors better, which would surprise me.

I definitely plan to get some mini tanks but I want to sample all the flavors first and it seems to me the best way to do that is with blank carts so I don't have to be constantly washing out tanks when changing flavors.

I also realize that I need some sort of system to keep track of which carts have what in them, how many times they've been used, etc. So far I have the sample bottled lined up on an end table with the carts in front of them, which doesn't seem like a very good system and am wondering what people do to keep track of that sort of thing.

I plan to use each cart 5 times then wash them out (should I boil them for 5 minutes as some suggest?), then use them 5 more times and then toss them out. Does that sound reasonable or should I be using them less or more times to keep getting good flavor and vapor?

I used a g6 for a long time. it's nice, small, easy to carry perfect for a start up. Congratulations on not having any stinkies while using it. After a few days it gets easier. Once you find a flavor you really like, definitely get some mini tanks. There's a big taste difference from the cartos.
I started out with the tobacco starter kit, tribeca, longhorn, prime 15 were good. I didn't not like Turkish. I got hooked on the kringles curse and Tribeca. As for cleaning the cartos, if you use the same kinda juice in one, I wouldn't worry about it. If your swaping juices in one carto, I guess you could. I would not know how to clean them, never did :p.

Good luck and welcome to the world of vaping!

Congrats on your 'transition' devil495! It was pretty much like that for me too. I vape waaay more than you do tho! I don't hardly use cartos anymore, but when I did, I used this method for cleaning. I haven't had to buy any since, and saved some money!

Congrats to you!! I can't help a lot re: G6 although I started w/it and used the cartos, I jumped fast to the Triton. I think it was in the first week. I actually still have cartos I never used full of 18mg Torque (just remembered..)

Anyway, just as a "warning", I also vaped very little in the beginning. It was weird because my nic fits were through the roof but the whole vaping thing was just diff. Once you get use to it, find juices you love (like VOODOO) and the set up, the vaping increases. At least it did for me. I have also dropped nic level to accommodate for that. Started at 18 now I'm down to 12 and occasionally mix to get 16. I had a lot of 30ml bottles of 18 mg so I was able to mix to weaken the mg

Congrats devil495! I also started on the G6 (Triton now). I ordered mine with mini-tanks because I figured the taste would be more pure (no polyfill), but the carts aren't bad. If you are thinking of trying them, I would highly recommend them. They are inexpensive enough that even if you didn't want to clean them (for new flavors) you could dedicate one to each new flavor, I suppose.

My method for transitioning to vaping went like this: I gave myself one rule only (and it was an easy rule to keep)...every time I reached for my analog, I had to take at least 2 hits from my G6 first. If I wanted to, I could then smoke my analog...that's why it was an easy rule to keep. Well, a funny thing happened on the very first day. As I vaped my G6, I ended up getting distracted by something (TV, conversation, etc.) and I completely forgot about my analog!

So without even trying I went from smoking 1.5-2 PAD to maybe 5 cigs the whole day. This went on for 4 days, and on the 5th day I decided to try and only smoke an analog after my morning coffee and then one at night. I was able to do that for 2 more days and by the 3rd day, when I reached for an analog...it no longer seemed appealing to me...I had completely lost my taste for it (and I had smoked for 38yrs). It's been over 2 months now since I had had a analog.

Wow, that's pretty darn great Zombo! Congrats to you. You've done a great job at putting down the analogs! I can't believe I smoked as long as I did, (close to 25yrs). Vaping is soooo much more....how can I say it? FUN! lol. All the juice flavors far outweigh the same old same old with cigs. Well, keep up the good work, and remeber: It only gets better and better! Thanks! Yea vaping feels like a better form of the 'smoking' activity...lighter, purer, without any 'sickening' feeling...like this is the way smoking should be...it's "smoking evolved".

That's great! This time I just stopped analogs as soon as I fired up the G6 and so far I haven't had any real overwhelming urges for tobacco cigs so far. Last time I tried this was at least a few years ago with a Joye 510 and wound up back on analogs after constantly running out of batteries for the 510, which lasted way less than the G6 and constantly tasting burning, stinking filler as the cartridges emptied. None of that with the G6 and to make sure I just ordered an extra battery and a passthrough for my office computer along with some more juice. I think this is it for stinkies and the improvement of the G6 over my 510 could not be more remarkable. This thing is great! I am also going to get a Triton after the new year and when I settle on my fav juices.
