Hi all,

my first post on this forum.

My wife and I recently bought our first e-cigs (Joye510s) and damn, these things really work. In 3 days I have gone from a pack of Marlboro Red 100s/day to 3-4/day, completely painlessly. I actually prefer vaping to smoking, and we haven't even tried different flavors yet. It's astounding!

I enjoy the ritual of "smoking" and don't mind the nicotine addiction, but I'm 43 years old it's way past time to kick the tobacco. I'm still experimenting with technique and so-on, but can easily see myself as a lifelong vaper.

I've done a little "stealth puffing" on the subway and am actually looking forward to my next long-haul airplane journey; in the past I've actually missed flights because I dallied too long outside the terminal.

Anyway, hello to all, looking forward to posting here, and e-cigarettes rock :thumb: -

I'm on my 5th vaping day and actually do prefer vaping to smoking. I've been an analog smoker for 40 yrs. When I received my 510 in the mail, I put my analogs in the cupboard and never looked back. I don't even think about having an analog, but can't stop thinking about my next vape. This is the first time in 40 years I've ever thought about quitting analogs and every day that goes by, I can't believe I actually did it. Vaping has saved my life I do believe.

Welcome Aboard and don't touch the analogs any more. If you can drop to 3 or 4 a day that quickly - you are done. Like so many, I took my first vape and immediately put my analogs in a drawer where they have sat untouched and I don't even want one.

36+ years of 1 and 2 packs a day and quit instantly with one vape.

They surely helped lengthen my time on this earth!

Thanks for the replies.

Re. the analogs, I think it's mostly psychological - even though I prefer the e-cigs, it's hard to forgo all those other rituals straight away.

Still, I can't remember ever being so enthusiastic about a device before (well, maybe the Internet!) so I expect that when our next batch of "toys" arrives, including flavored juice and some more chargers, etc., I'll probably drop to 1 or 2 analogs a day, or none ...
