:vapor:vaping for 7 days and no analogs for 7 days.woohoo! im useing a 510, and allready i am useing up battery life before the next battery comes off the charger, frustrated, so i ordered an eGo 3.7 from china, ordered it the 21st,it arrived in NY.this morning should be here the 25th.(hope,hope). the 510 isnt cutting it for me. my carts are full i get one or two good vapes then ,nothing.stated to drip ,its ok,got a pasthrough ,works great whe i drip,i change the atty and put on a cart and same 1 or 2 good vapes the nothing. 7 days now and i spent over 225.oo bucks in all. if i knew what i know now i would have bought 6 volt mod to start with. i hope the ego works good. I have been smoking annalogs for over 30 years , havent been able to quit. Since i started vaping cigs are out ...
Question.... am i not getting satisfied from the 510 because im not at very very high nicotine, then work my way down, is that why im over useing my 510?:vapor:

I am still a "newbie" so I am sure a veteran can answer you questions, but I can share my experiences. For the first few days I vaped it was wonderful. I felt the TH and after 40 years stopped analogs completely the minute I started vaping. Then, it seemed like I couldn't get a good TH or flavor. This lasted for about 2 weeks and then it started to fade and the TH and flavor started coming back. I don't know why it happened.

I did upgrade from a 510 to an ego and tried LR attys. I was already at 24mg so going any higher there was not a good idea. I even tried DIY so I could use only GP and lots of flavoring. It didn't really help. However, now that things are back to "normal" I find that I do enjoy the ego better. The TH seems stronger and the battery definitely lasts longer.

Are you near a computer much? If so, I highly recommend you get a pass through. It will increase the life of your batteries because you won't be using them so much, and it is wonderful to vape without worrying about losing power.

Hope you get your package today.

that's how it worked for me. i smoked a pack and a half a day for well over a decade. when i started vaping, the juice that came with my PV (18mg) wasn't nearly strong enough to produce a good throat hit of give me the amount of nicotine i was used to with analogs, so i ordered some 48 mg from Tasty Vapor. after a couple of weeks i was able to cut it with VG down to 42, then again a couple of weeks later to 36, and am now on my way down to 24 where i think i will land for good. i would suggest, that if u want to do the same, u should buy a "doubler" if u order from TV, so u don't lose any flavor.

also, i started with a 510 and had a similar problem, the battery life sucks unless you get the mega batteries, and the vapor production isn't great either, i tried a 901 and the same story, it was only when i went to the 801 that i found a good comfortable "zone", the battery life is about 5 hours for me, and i am a reeeeeally heavy vaper. the flavor is so much stronger and so is the vapor production. the eGo is really popular amongst members here for 3.7v vaping, though i think it only comes in 510.
welcome to the wonderful world of vaping and congrats.

Seems 24mg is a good starting place and if you don't feel satisfied, you can try bumping it up. Seems most men use 24-48mg liquid.

Congrats on your first week!

I bought 24mg to start and added a bit of VG to bring the level down (it made my ears ring and made me a bit queasy at first). I played around with levels and finally settled to 18mg (though sometimes use 24mg now with no problems). A low resistance atomizer or little bit higher voltage unit can make a huge difference in satisfaction as well. I use both (LR801 and a Buzz).

If you still find after bumping up your nic level and moving to a bigger battery, etc. it still isn't quite working for you, consider trying Snus or Snuff smokeless tobacco. I use nasal Snuff to supplement every day (and it gives me my happy back). Snus is a great alternative too. Just don't bother with the American made stuff. Yuck.

More info. can be found in this part of the forum and those members are extremely helpful in answering any questions you may have: Smokeless tobacco - E-Cigarette Forum

We're going to need to figure out why you are having this problem.
Because unless solved, you may wind up having the same problem with the Ego too.

It very well could be, what nicotine strength are you using?

Hey Santo,

I had the same problem too, a few good puffs and gone. Felt like I was topping of my cart with 2 or 3 drops ever few seconds. I've tried a bunch of cart mods even though I'm still a newbie. Some better than others.

But I stopped by one of the distributors, and they were awesome, they had me try out a bunch of different flavors while I was there to pick up my passthrough. Instead of dripping they had me use cartos (which they let me keep :D). I can vape on these most of the day without topping off and without losing their flavor or smoke production. Tasted better than my regular atty. Plus I like switching flavors often so its another plus. I just ordered 25 of them from eastmall for 20 bucks. Anyhow, sorry for the long response. Hope this helps.

I thought the problem was intrinsic to 510 carts. That's always been my experience with them on 510's and my eGo.

In fact, that's what drove me to cartomizers. Problem I have with those, though, is that they seem to lose flavor (but not liquid) after a few minutes. (Which is what sent me to a HV mod)

One or two good vapes on a full cartridge, then nothing?

That is not a problem anyone should be having.
There is something wrong that needs to be addressed.

I'm guessing he's trying to use it like a cigarette and the wicking can't keep up.
But it's hard to say right now without more information.

if that is, indeed, what the problem is, i recommend the boge cartomizers. I can hit them, pretty much nonstop, without running dry. The SLB's need more time to wick the juice and don't suit my vaping style at all.

I run into the same problem with my 510 carts. I can put in new filler and get up to 12, 13 drops in. When vapor production stops I go to refill and can only get 3 or 4 drops in. It's beyond irritating and I'm ready to just throw it against the wall.
The problem is, if you are just putting drops right on top of the filler material that comes with the cartridge, it isn't going to sink to the bottom without a little help. You can use the straw modification, or you can use a toothpick or paper clip to push the filler aside a little bit so that it can breath while you are putting in the drops. Some people use a syringe or a needle tipped dropper bottle to get all the way down to the bottom of the cartridge.

And I have found that if you replace the stock filler material with blue foam, you can actually put the drops right in if you tilt the cartridge to the side while doing so, but that is probably a bit more than you want to bite off and chew right now.

Many people remove the filler material, put in their juice, and then slowly push the filler back in.

Don't know, of course....but it could be the way you vape. I had to re-learn smoking. I was trying to do a strong pull off the VP like I would a cig....and it just didn't work. I still have to catch myself sometimes...esp. if it's been awhile and I really want a vape. I have to make myself slow down and "soften" my pull. Long, long sloooooow, easy draws work. I have a 510 and I have an eGo.....they are very similar. I have learned I have to do that long, slow, easy draw on both of them for it to work right.
