Congrats on 1 week, yay! You might take into consideration that your throat is healing from coming off the analogs and also that your tastebuds are changing. During my second week of vaping only, all the flavors sucked, wasn't getting satisfied with the throat hit, was flooding my atty a lot which also can cause lack of throat hit and vapor.
Now 3rd week vaping only and tastebuds are back, throat hit is awesome even tho I have cut down considerably in mgs and I'm not flooding my atty anymore, lol!
Good luck on the eGo it's a great little PV....I really like mine but LOVE my ProVape :)

What I've found is that if I would take too long of a draw, I would get the burnt taste. I got a good hint here that if when you draw, let off the button after a couple of seconds and keep drawing. Just don't hold it down too long.

I've also found that the darker the liquid, the more apt to get the 'burnt' taste. The IkenVape drip cartomizers are awesome and haven't had this issue at all with them. They are 510's and fit on the ego beautifully. I have 900maH ego's and they last me a day and a half easy - and I vape my head off. Waiting patiently for my P18.

I started on a regular 510 like everyone else. Glad I did though because they're easy and was a great intro into the vaping world.

I ordered two eGo kits. When my wife saw them she said "can't you find something smaller?" I got her a 510. That lasted about 9 hours. Back on the eGo.

Try this: With 510 and ego, I sometimes have to do a quick, hard inhale without the button pushed. It seems to "clear" it for the next draw. I think it gets flooded or something.

Congrats on quitting the analogs

Seems you might want to try a combination of things. First DIY juice makes a big difference a little costly a first just because you have to buy everything you need all at once but then it's just a matter of restocking when you get low. Plus you get to tweak how you want your flavors to be. For me almost pure VG seems to best. Next find a carto or cart that produces the hit/vape/taste that you are consistently happy with. I would recommend clearomizers 2.0 ohm or lower if on a 3.7 higher ohm if you want a higher voltage PV. Last find a PV with a voltage you like if you aren't sure what voltage if up your ally look into a VV (variable voltage) PV to find a voltage you like. Once you figure all these things out you will be set up, and analogs will no longer be a second thought. I know it sounds like a lot to figure out but once you do you will not regret the work you put into it. Good luck and happy vaping.
