What I'm afraid of is that we'll eventually have to let the Chinese come in and manage our economy when it becomes obvious that we will never be able to repay them on the current course - just like the IMF and World Bank managed the economies of several third world countries before they would be offered aide. This will probably lead to Chinese taking over politics and applying their police-state tactics here.... there have already been several instances where our relationship with China has had a huge impact on American foreign and domestic policy.... not to mention it is becoming more and more acceptable for Chinese-American leaders to hold some of the highest offices in the government and mold American foreign policy (i.e. the Patriot Act). We might even welcome Chinese governance and approve of their methods of capital punishment to stamp out corruption.
