i'm still waiting for a response from these folks. i was sent a tracking number on the 21st, but the package hasn't moved-the info on the usps website says ELECTRONIC SHIPPING RECEIVED, which, as far as i know, means he printed a label... 7 days later, and it hasn't even been dropped off at the post office. i can't get in touch with daniel (the d in d b modz)-no return email, no return phone calls, nothing. needless to say, i'm a little upset. a tracking number from him is about as useless as a warranty from him, considering that he is impossible to get in touch with. i hate being "that guy"-the constant emails, calls, messages... but what other recourse do i have? i chose to deal directly with him, rather than open a case with pp or my bank, so basically, i'm screwed... he's got my money, i've got nothing. for anyone considering a purchase from these guys, be warned... it will be an extremely frustrating waste of time and energy, and god help you if your product is defective or damaged and you need him to fix it. sorry to sound so angry, but i'm at my wit's end here. i have tried to be patient and zen about this situation, but this has been going on since january...

as of today, it's been 11 days since i received a tracking number, but usps website still says ELECTRONIC SHIPPING INFO RECEIVED... yeah, a label's been printed, but nothing else. repeated emails, phone calls, texts...you name it. in 11 days, not 1 single message has been returned. i'm about to write it off as a loss. hopefully, people will see this thread, as well as the complaints about poor communication, doa products, etc, and take it as a warning... don't do what i did, folks. seek other options. DB modz has ripped me off.

i ordered my mini v1 dna 20 in january, and got it about 6 weeks later (no replies to any emails regarding status). after about 2 weeks, the 510 gave out, and i had to send it back for repair. after almost 2 months of waiting and unanswered emails, i finally received a message from him, and i got my mod back... broken. a replacement mod was supposed to be sent. weeks of emails unanswered, i finally got a tracking number on the 21st of june. hooray!

however...

eleven days later, that package status still says ELECTRONIC SHIPPING INFO RECEIVED-translation: he printed a label. emails, calls, website messages, texts... eleven days, not one reply. phone calls go straight to voice mail, and voice mail is full. DB Modz has not changed anything... they still aren't responding to customers, are still taking pre order $, and are still keeping a lot of people in the dark by not responding to messages.

THIS IS NOT A SLAM, as i do like the mod... when it worked, it was great. great button, great feel. aside from the 510 issue, which i believe has been fixed with the new dna 30 v3's, i really liked it. that's why i want it back. i'm only informing forum members of my personal experience. please take from it what you will. but i'll say this-he's got my money, i've got no mod.
 
At the end of March I bought a DB Mod da mini v2 from a local store (actually bought 2, but no issue with the second one). The same day I noticed that my mod was not reading the ohms correctly. In hindsight I should have just taken it back to the store, but instead I emailed DB the next morning. He emailed back 10 minutes later to ask for my phone number so he could call. He called 5 minutes after I sent my number. Color me impressed so far. He told me to let the battery completely die to let the chip reset and see if it fixed the problem and if not to fill out a warranty form and mail it in. It didnt work so I sent it to him.
My mod was delivered to him on March 29th and he STILL has it. I only had that mod 2 or 3 days before i returned it to be fixed. I never heard from him again untill May 3rd. After I sent a few emails and Facebook messages, as well as attempted phone calls he finally emailed me to say he would have my replacement chip on either the 5th or the 7th (2 days after that email) and as soon as he replaced the chip he would send it back.
AGAIN he stopped talking to me. He didnt send it back. He stopped responding to attempts to contact him. Now fast forward to the end of june. I see he starts taking pre orders again and filling orders for online stores, meanwhile he still has my mod. I snap and blast him on facebook by stating that im surprised he is taking orders for more mods when he cant fix or fulfill the warranty of the ones that have been returned to him....FINALLY I get a response. June 24th he deletes all negative comments from me and many others on his facebook page and messages me.
He gives a bunch of excuses..#1 his facebook was hacked, #2 he had a family emergency, #3 employee only got email from someone with my name that didnt turn in a warranty, #4 same employee emailed the same named person for address and never got a response....For the record I absolutly DID send in a warranty WITH my mod and I NEVER recieved any emails.
He said he just needed my address to mail my mod back and he was sorry for the delay. So I gave him my address. This past monday the 30th he messages me again to say he is dropping it off at the post office and will send me a tracking # when its dropped off. Now its July 2nd. I still have NO mod, NO tracking #, and AGAIN he isnt responding to messages about shipment, and phone calls go unanswered.
He has gad my mod since March 29th!! Thats almost 14 weeks!! Im at my wits end. I dont know what to do at this point.I have been told to do a charge back on the card I used to pay for it, but I bought it at a local store and they didnt do anything wrong. So for now im stuck.

Yeah, I got the "my kids put phone on do not disturb","never got your message", "mom's in the hospital "," dog ate my homework", and all the standard excuses, too. Now, he's straight up not responding to any form of communication. What's his racket? I don't see how a simple response to an email can be so hard, but for some reson, it's impossible to get him to reply. I mean, I got the payment confirmation fast enough. No problem there. I really hate calling out a small business owner, and I know that mod making is time consuming. I also understand that things happen, and I'm not his only customer. However, this is unacceptable. Who runs a business like this!?
Granted, there may be a very good reason for a delay, but I would not know it, because he won't tell me. I am officially "that guy" now. I'm the guy who sends dozens of emails, texts, makes calls, and constantly keeps hounding him. But you know what? I don't care anymore. I'm sick of playing "dude, where's my mod?" with this joker. I've been ripped off and I'm disgruntled. Lesson learned. And it wasn't cheap to attain this knowledge.
What recourse do we have at this point? Looks like he's going to get away with this, too.

It's been nearly a month since I received a tracking number, and USPS website STILL says Electronic Shipping Info Received. Countless phone calls, texts, emails, web messages, and ZERO response. I don't know what's going on, and I don't know what to do about it. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
