DCT cartomizer tank not working after washing! Newb question!

I just washed my cartomizer tank after nearly 2 weeks of vaping.
It isn't vaping just as well when it first came, and it 'gurgles' a bit, along with a undecent flavor and 'cotton throat' if that exists.

oh i and i forgot to mention that i only dried the exterior of the cartomiser after washing. i dried the filler by constantly dripping and doing dry hits.

what do i do? do i need to get a new cartomiser?

Also, is it possible to remove the polyfill and wash it, then put it in again?

Cartimizers are disposable and aren't meant to be cleaned. You ruined it when you did the dry burn

Did it 'kill'/melt the polyfill? Now my lungs feel slightly weird after vaping it.

Mine doesn't work well either. Leaks and gurgles all the time. I have tried two different carto types and it doesn't help. The only thing that makes it a little better is having the tank really full. I think if any air gets in the hole it starts gurgling.

I have heard some people clean the carto. There are youtubes on it.

Cartomizers are usually replaced when used in a tank when performance is reduced / odd tastes are noticed.
2 weeks is a good long life span for a carto/tank set up.
When I was using carto tanks seems I replaced the carto about every 4 ~ 7 days.

Most likely you burnt the filler/wicking material by the method you used to 'dry' it out, the very last thing you want to do is to continue vapeing a burnt or burning carto.

Best to use a fresh carto for flavor changes and when performance is reduced / odd tastes begin.

I will never under stand the need to wash a 2 week old carto that costs maybe 4 bucks. Jeez throw it a way and buy a new. Now if i could have only found a way to reuse all them cigarettes I threw away.....that would have been nice at almost 10 bucks a pack here in cny now

Cartos are hard to come by in my country and my supplier sells carto tanks at 15 dollars a pop.

Am I getting ripped off?

Vaping is kinda illegal in my country and the only one I know is selling is selling DCT carto tanks at 15 dollars a pop.
I don't know about the cartomiser itself thou.

i only use my cartos for a few days then boil them got 5 minutes then blow them out and let them sit a few days,i like to switch flavors to often to use one flavor for weeks,never had a problem reusing them the way ive been doing it and get to reuse them a good 5 times or so before they start to build up flavor in the polyfill, but yea never dry burn one...instant junk if you do just toss it and use a new one.

They can be cleaned- they might not work as perfectly as when they are brand new but many do clean them. The key is to get them bone dry before refilling.

Some use the reverse taryn spin, or put them by a heat source or by a fan. Even vodka or PGA to speed up the drying process. Otherwise they'll be sort of soggy.

I live in a country that is known locally to regularly confiscate e cig related stuff, so the only way for me to get supplies through a local supplier who has ways to bring in the goods.

With the law in place, the supplier charges a premium of 50 to 100% for his profits. So yeah... no importing new cartos..
