De-bridged atty. Only one issue.

Since you removed some of the juice-holding material by removing the bridge, it'll be more prone to flooding. As mentioned, a drip shield will help contain that, or you can just learn to be more exact about when and how much to add, which can be difficult if you hate dry hits.

Depending upon the design of the atomizer, adding a Bonut may help, as long as the atomizer still has some way to pull the liquid out of it after de-bridging. I've had to leave a bit of the bottom of the sides of the bridge in a couple of atomizers I've done this with, because they had a solid steel washer covering the guts of the atty.
