Dead battery?

I have two batteries that came with my 901 and have been using them in rotation for a few days now.

Today, after one was emptied and I went to swap it with the one I charged earlier, something very odd happened. As I finished screwing the battery in, I heard some noise coming from the atomiser and when I looked, the thing was glowing red hot and vapour started to build up!

I wondered at first whether this was the "cleaning cycle" that I've heard about, but there's no way I've taken 1500 drags yet, so I didn't think it could be that. I tested the battery on another atty and it did the same thing.

Is this battery dead, has juice got inside it or something and screwed it up? Any other ideas?

I am charging my original battery again now so I can use it, but wonder what I can do about the other one that seems to be knackered...

It sounds just like almost all of mine...about 10 batteries have gotten juice in them which has caused the automatic switch to stick on,and I have found no way to remedy the situation.

I will say though, that the very first 2 eciggs that i bought from Totally Wicked "the platinum 901" are still working perfectly
after a month of use.

I don't know why these two wouldn't be subject to flooding but the rest that I've purchased, from several different suppliers which were white, blue, and black batteries have all failed.

I was just telling my wife that I'm gonna have to order some more platinum batteries and hope thay're as good as the first ones.
Good luck.

Hmm, I did try puffing the batt a little, but it didn't seem to help... Also, the LED doesn't come on when it does this, although how much that means I don't know.

Maybe I'll leave it upright overnight and see if any drips out or anything, I dunno. Don't think I can send it back as I don't have a warranty I don't think, I'll ask though.

Also, as when it was plugged into my atomiser and it went full blast for several seconds, is the atty likely ruined now as well?

doubt it, the 901 atty's can take a bit of heat, and if you do have a lemon battery, well my friend, you have a crucial piece to making a killer nicostick mod, or a battbox mod, or a maddog magnum mod or a...

heh, I'll bear that in mind, but I think I want to just get up and running first before I jump into mods or anything else!

I bought my first two eciggs from TW,both were platinum.
No ,I havn't tried any of their other batteries , the rest were purchased elswhere.
I think I will buy some other colors from them when I order more platinums...at this point my paypal acct. has been blocked because I've spent $10,000 through them and I haven't given them my bank acct.info yet.I have heard that once you associate a bank acct. they stop using your credit card for purchases and direct withdraw funds from acct. by default, and I like the fact that my cc. company will cover any theft or losses incured online.
