A reseller in my country gives this advice: as a last-ditch attempt (if it isn't working anyway) you can try squirting in some alcohol (with a syringe). Shake it with the hole closed by your finger; then let the alcohol drip out. Then take a tissue, make a very thin tip onto a corner, and put this into the hole in the battery, turning it around gently. Then let it dry in a warm place.

So if Kate's advice doesn't work (try that first, as it certainly won't harm anything, which the alcohol method could) you could try this perhaps. Good luck with it :)

When working through the new technology bugs that these things have, it's important to us nic addicts to keep lots of spare options on hand so as to not to fall back on analogs.

I would recommend upt's, power packs, spare batteries, spare atomizers, carts, liquid, etc. to make sure we don't run out.

We must have our nic fix, first and foremost, and will do anything to get it, even if it means putting that nic with all the other bad crap we get from the analogs.

You will find that you must put up the initial $$ to get your equipment and supplies in line.

This e-cig stuff is a different animal and must be addressed as such to be a successful replacement.

This may sound silly but how do you know if it's the battery or the atomiser that has broken?

I have 3 minicigs, 3 atomisers and cartridges/ejuice, all day I've been chopping and changing them to get my fix. I''ve even tried topping up into the atomiser without the cartridge inside. They work, they don't work, they work, then they don't...grrrrr

So I think, as I puff, the light at the tip of the battery lights up, so I assume the battery is ok and it must be something wrong with the atomiser, but all 3!!!

Would I be correct in thinking it's got to be my atomisers when the light lights up on all 3 batteries, they have all been charged more that 4 hours and a new cartridge has been used but even if it had dried out a little I topped up using ejuice, so what else can I do.

I really am getting very fed-up with things now...:(

Hello,

I would recommend trying Kate's method first too which will help dry out the chemicals first. Then try to see if it works, if it does not then there may be residual rusting on the battery contact which prevents the current from flowing properly. It is a risk but if it does not work anyway, then try using a solution of Vinegar or Nail Polish Remover with Alcohol and Water, 20% Vinegar, 20% Alcohol, 60% Water and using a cotton swab to dip in the solution then try to clean out the battery contact. If this does not remove the rust, then increase the Vinegar and Alcohol concentrations by using 40% of each or just 50:50 Vinegar/Alcohol and no water. After cleaning out the battery contact, use a cotton swab to dip in pure water and thoroughly clean out the residual chemicals off the contact (Important). Turn the battery upside down and dry in a warm place, don't use a fan which may push the chemicals further into the battery, let gravity do the work. If the rust is too far into the battery then there may be no easy fix and it will need replacement.
