Completely dead MVP

I have a 4 month old itaste mvp 2 that out of the blue completely died. It was working, I put it down, picket it up to hit is 20 min later, and nothing. No lights. I plugged it in to a known good USB charging cable plugged into a wall adapter, no lights. It's been working great, great battery life, no indication anything was wrong, and not it's completely dead.

Anyone seen this before? Known issue? Known fixes?

Though substantially older, I had one flake out in similar fashion. I wrote it off but then came back several weeks later -- and it charged up and vaped. So, if you can, try setting it aside for a few weeks (until the battery is really dead) and then try charging again. Good luck!

They are manufactured to price point standards in PRC. I wouldn't be shocked if one only lasted 4 months, or a week. For what they cost vs. smoking, you got your money's worth...

this reportedly has happened on occasion

something just seems to go foul confusing the microprocessor
(a short, low batt, 10 sec cutoff , etc.)
and sends a phantom signal to shut unit down...

never happened to me, but others have "cycled" the power
and managed to get it to recover for a trouble free long life after...

just try cycling the battery

• charge it
• turn it off/on (3 clk)
• DIS-charge it

(hook up USB Out and charge something attempting to drain battery)

REPEAT

might not do you any good, but I've heard several people
in the same predicament as you and it worked...

And if Puf's trick doesn't work, recycle the battery and get yourself an MVP 20 for Christmas.

I must be just lucky. I have had mine since October of 2013. Mind you its not my all day battery, but I still had to charge it every other day.

It is losing power though but Im waitng to see if they come up with a MVP with a button on the side.
