I think my KGO died on me.. It flashed at me like it does when it needs to be charged so i took the carto off, wiped it out to be sure it was clean and dry and attatched it to the charger and nothing...it didnt turn the charger light red like it should have. I removed it, looked at it like it was going to fix it lol and reattatched it to the charger and nothing still green light. The kgo blue light still works and when i attach a carto it still lights up as if it wants to fire but it doesnt, and it dont flash at me like its dead and needs to be charged, but it will not turn the light red and it will not charge or fire a carto... i have emailed the guys at hoosier who told me to be sure the connections are clean and if they are the battery is probably dead. This seems a bit sad since its ONLY 2 months old. Not to mention they had to replae one of the 2 batteries a week after i bought the kit because it was a dudd. Anyone have any suggestions?? It wouldnt be such a problem but the other battery is acting up and i cant afford to replace them right now and i do NOT want to resot to going back to the stinkys if they both die on me....8-o

The only two things I can think of-

Battery turned off? Click 5 times

Pin pushed down on battery. Get a small screwdriver and very slightly try to raise the center pin on the button. Sometimes it gets pushed down slightly and isn't making a good connection with the carto.

Edit: It sounds to me like it's the pin.

My KGOs are 6 months old now, no problems. They're not the greatest ecig on the market now that the EGO Twist has come out, but they used to be the King of all EGO batteries.

I'm not a fan of Hoosier in the first place and this is yet another strike against them in my book. The audacity of them to sell you a crappy kit and then put their name brand on it like they invented the KGO... Their customer service is fail IMO.

It may sound stupid but you can try to shake it and see if that helps, and if it doesn't you can put a carto you don't care about on it and pull on it till the whole thing comes apart. If you have a soldering iron you may find the problem and correct it if it's a bad connection. You break it any more and as long as you don't cause the battery any physical trauma, or get it really hot, it will be safe to try.

If that all fails you can hop on Google and take a look for a EGO C Twist replacement battery and get one of those (in a knockoff brand like "hello") for about $20 (try vaporbeast.com - it's free shipping). Your KGO Charger, if it's like mine, will have an output of 4.2v 420ma. If it is, then you can safely use that to charge your EGO C Twist. If you're talking about going back to smokes then you can afford $20. Go sell some books, recycle some aluminum cans, have a garage sale, donate plasma, etc... if you need to. Save your own life. You're worth it!

Another option is that there are USB Passthroughs that are available for the $10-15 range if you look around.

That happened to one of my kgo battery. Lasted 2 weeks

What i did was pop the buttom off and smelled the inside. Weird i know. But u will smell a mettalic type smell if so battery shorted.

Hope this helps

Yeah the button is just a rubber piece that fits in. I knocked it out when cleaning it once and it goes right back in so I would try this first.

Kgo is pretty well built imo.
Sucks though that there kit can be like a pack of cartos.
And come with a dud.

But my last kgo batt is going strong.
I must admit though the charger sucks. I couldnt screw the battery on it after a week.
I ended up ordering another . But while wait for shipping i had to fiddle around and prop it a certain way to make it charge

I love my KGO charger. It blinks red and green until it's fully charged and then it goes solid green. It's great for colorblind people like me. On top of that it's also 100% compatible with the EGO Twist (output of 4.2v 420ma). At least mine is.
