Delicious Double RY4

Recipe makes 30ml (1oz)
16mg NIC
70% VG
30% PG

What you need:

Flavors

  • 4.2ml pure VG NET (I used half/half of two separate cigar extracts I made)
  • 3.0ml Bourbon Vanilla (TFA)
  • 2.5ml Natural Caramel (LorAnn) (warning: likely contains acetoin)
  • 1.0ml Vanillin 10% solution
  • 0.3ml Ethyl Maltol 10% solution

I used 48mg VG NIC solution

  • 10ml NIC (5ml of 100mg NIC)
  • 2.7ml VG (add 5ml if using 100mg NIC)
  • 6.3ml PG

The final juice is:

  • 16mg NIC (17% if using 5ml 100mg NIC)
  • 22% flavoring
  • 14% VG NET
  • 70% VG
  • 30% PG

This is a flavorful yet subtle, well-balanced vape. Recommended steeping 5+ days (seems very stable after that).

A note on NET
  • NET can be very harsh, especially in sub-ohm. Thus the semi-low percentage in this mix. I imagine if you're using a more traditional setup you could up the NET and lower the VG
  • I prefer to make my NET by saturating a cut-up cigar in pure VG in sealed mason jars and then heating them by steam (jars in a strainer suspended over a pot of simmering water with the top on) for 6hr x 3 times over 3 days (rest in between), shaking the jar occasionally, and then filtering that first through a fine strainer and then through a 10ml syringe with a cotton ball stuffed into it (the VG needs to be hot for the syringe filter otherwise it will be a serious PITA to push). I do change the cotton after every 8ml or so.

LorAnn Natural Caramel contains a small amount of molasses. I fiddled with this recipe for a long time, trying to find the best balance of flavor and lastability. However, this juice will eventually gunk up and burn on your coils. Only vape it in something that can be cleaned effectively. I've found that this recipe is good for a full tank or more on a Kayfun single micro at standard ohms, it does less well in a sub ohm dripper. After that the wick will HAVE to be replaced and the coil dry-burnt. Not tested in a clearo or carto of any kind.

Have you tried FlavourArt's Caramel by chance? I've not tested the waters with NET's, but it's something I've been wanting to try for a while and their version of caramel, while not sweet or creamy, does tend to work really well in low amounts.

Sounds good though!

Well, TBH I know very little about cigars. But for this I'm using:

Oliva - Serie V Maduro Especial
Gurkha - Cellar Reserve

which I picked up at a local B&M based on product description and aroma. Just a couple $6-$8 cigars.
