Please let your US customers (not sure if the show is aired in Canada) know about an opportunity to be heard by the general public. The TV show, The Doctors, featured e-cigarettes in a positive light back in 2009. Now, they are asking former smokers to share their "best tips and tricks to quitting cigarettes and staying off for good."

Tell Us Your Story

You, of course, do not need to (and probably should not) use the word "quitting" in getting the word out to your customers. You can suggest that they share their story about how they used e-cigarettes to replace some or all of their smoked cigarettes. This is a scientifically accurate description of what occurred and is not a health claim.

Imagine the impact that show might have if they talk about receiving thousands of reponses talking about the advantages of switching to e-cigarettes.

I agree with the point that we should be getting people to think about not only the possibility of looking to quit, but to simply get people thinking about using this as a replacement of "some or all of their smoked cigarettes." Not everyone wants to quit, and at best, positioning vaping as quitting conjures up all sorts of painful experiences. With vaping though, I'd explain this as a more enjoyable way to smoke as well as being much healthier.

I took to vaping because I wanted to feel better, not just breathe better or whatever, but to get a better buzz as well. Quitting suggests giving that up, whereas the goal with vaping, among other things, is to look to enhance it. So the goal should be not to look to add stress but to relieve it.

Good points, both of you.

As most of you know, I was an 'accidental quitter'. I can not TELL you how many people have given me the stink eye while saying, "I thought you were quitting."

Tell you what, respond with a stink eye of your own and simply state, I HAVEN'T quit, I've just changed my methods.

Works every time.

I prefer the crook eye, but it gets the same point across
