Dear vendors, I don't need this much mystery in my life....

Seriously, if I need mystery I'll check what's on Netflix. I really don't need to find it in eliquid I might buy.

it absolutely drives me nuts when companies cannot be bothered with providing a simple flavor profile, instead they leave it a big mystery. When you charge around $22 a bottle I would like to know what I'm buying, I'm not looking for an experience, I'm looking for good flavors that fit in my flavor profile preferences. Telling me it's an amazing blend that is sure to please my palate does nothing for me.

The Standard loves this practice, I just had to buy a bottle of F.U.E.S because it had Johnny Cash on it, and what a loser of a mystery that was. They did the same with Tater too. Jackson Vapor did it too with Dulche, but granted same company. King's Crown aka Suicide Bunny is doing it with one of their new juices in their line. It's becoming more and more common.

Please stop.

my bigger problem is when vendors make a big deal about how complex and unique their liquid is when the liquid is actually quite ordinary... if 20 other vendors have a liquid almost just like it, then it ain't so special...

...especially with tobacco flavors... squirting two or three flavourart flavorings into some pg/vg doesn't warrant any kind of miraculous description...

I know when I buy a liquid from vapetrik that I am going to get something extremely unique so the lack of description is okay with me...

But as the OP suggests, it is quite annoying when an overhyped liquid costs 22 bucks and tastes like nothing special.

speaking of hyped up $22 liquids...

I didn't order The Standard's new juice F.U.E.S because I wasn't wanting a surprise taste. The only juices I've tried of The Standard and actually liked was Thumper and Tater was ok. I sold all my other Standard juices on the classifieds here. I won't be buying anymore of their line of juices.

I make my own juices and that's usually what I Vape the majority of the time. But, I enjoy buying and tasting new juices too. I don't like not knowing what's in a juice either. I want to know what's in it and what it tastes like.

I agree with the OP. I certainly would not buy any eliquid that doesn't have the flavor description as to the predominant flavors. If they want people to try new flavors, the vendor should allow the buyer to return the bottle for something they do like, or give free samples to try out.

I don't care how mysterious, for example, a fish flavor is to anyone, I would not pay my hard earned money to vape it.

This. Many vendors' descriptions of their juices amounts to pretty much false advertising - what they don't realize is all the people that are ...... about the flavor not living up to the description would probably still be buying it if they had just been honest in the first place. They know when a juice is all that and when it isn't.

Alot of the time I won't even look for a description if the name is just a marketing term. That does'nt mean I would'nt try a liquid like that if it built up good word of mouth, but considering there are thousands of flavors out there, if I don't have some idea of what it is by the name, I just move on.

I'm OK with fanciful names, but I agree--there has to be a solid description of the flavor notes if I'm going to buy the juice. I don't care how much I love and trust a vendor to make outstanding e-liquids, there are just some flavors I will never care for. Take absinthe/anise/black licorice notes, for example. Doesn't matter how great the vendor is, or how cute the name of the juice is, or how many of their other flavors I love, I'm not going to like an anise based juice, and I want to know if it has that flavor note.

I definitely tend not to order from vendors who not only do not list at least a brief flavor profile but also do not have any customer reviews of that flavor on their site. Even though I am retired, I do have other things to do with my time than sift through all the flavor reviews provided on ECF just to find out that "Tiger's Blood", for instance, is strawberry and coconut. If you are not going to list the main flavors, at least, then post customer reviews of the flavor to entice me.

I agree. I know what I like and what I don't. I want to know what the dominate flavors are. I also want to see reviews. If there are bad reviews I'm even happier. I tend to distrust something that has nothing but good reviews. If a company doesn't post bad reviews it makes me wonder about other aspects like customer service.

Let me elaborate, I am not looking for them to list every tasting note in their brew. But something like this is perfectly adequate.

"Mother's Milk is a deliciously rich and creamy dessert flavor with a light strawberry exhale. "

Notice how every tasting note is not listed, just a simple idea of what the heck I can expect. I am perfectly fine with this and their propriety recipe is intact.

As opposed to this:

"The King is a sophisticated liquid birthed from imagination and dedication. It is a perfectly balanced, complex experience infused with notes of...you'll have to figure this out..."

Tells me nothing at all as to what to expect. Guess which one I am more likely to buy.

I agree 100% and simply will not even think about buying a flavor where you can not discern what flavor it is. It just makes no sense.

I have an aversion to several flavors, one of them being coconut. I would be really ticked if I bought a juice that had a coconut flavor with no description of that being a part of the flavor. Now if they said it had a tropical flavor, I would suspect and steer clear, but to have a name like "angel farts" or some other nondescript name is uncalled for.

I will ONLY buy a flavor whose name describes it.

I can understand embellishing such as naming an ordinary flavor such as apple pie something like "Grandma's Southern Apple Pie". That is fine and expected. I know it will taste like apple and pie crust. Maybe a hint of cinnamon even. But don't call it something like "butterfly breath" and expect me to buy it on a whim.

Incidentally, I would rather vape "angel farts" than anything coconut.

I also have to wonder about paying $22 a bottle for juice. How big is that bottle? It better be pretty big.
