quick question. tried a search but no luck..

every once and a while after a week or two of vaping my 306 attys taste burnt(yes i always keep it wet, it just happens some times ). when i cant get the burn taste out by cleaning i just debridge and dewick them. im pretty good at doing it, i remove the wick from inside the atty but can never get the little wick out from the center of the coil. ( it super hard to grab even with tweesers) are you supposed to remove that also? last time i tried i actually got it out but my atty stoped producing vapor but was heating up. reason i ask is even when i dewick it still taste burnt some times.

also i suck really bad at dry burning 306's i can to it fine with 510's tho. i always take it slow and only till it starts to glow but i end up burning the atty super bad. as much as i love lr306 attys ive been killing each in about a week and its taking a toll on my wallet. need some advice...

If you remove the wick from the coil then it won't vape at all or very little. The coil has to have a wick in order to vape. You don't really need to debridge to get the burnt taste out. What I do is run it under water and blow it out hardcore over and over for 5 minutes to make sure all juice is gone then dry burn it untill the coil glows a dark orange and blow down into the atty wich cools the coil and gets rid of excess water vapor. Do this over and over dry burning just untill the coil glows a dark orange. Don't let the coil glow bright orange/yellow or it will pop the atty or shorten the life. Just keep dry bruning and blowing into the atty untill you hear nomore sizzling and see no vapor comming form the coil. Then run it under some water one more time to get rid of the ashes blow it out hardcore and let dry or slightly dry burn again. Drip 7 drops wait 30 secs drip 3 more and vape. I've had atomizers last over 7 months doing this.

thanks for the advice buddy. every time i clean and atty with water and dry burn it or let it air out over night it taste super horrible. like a moldy burn taste and makes me gag, some times it will even taste like "........" resin from a dirty pipe ( trying to avoid drug talk but thats what it taste like) and it wont go away...
would it be better to use distilled water? ill give your method a shot tho man. thanks for the help!

I use tap water but I don't have city water, I have well water. If you have city water then it's prob best to use distilled or PGA/vodka. Sounds to me like your not getting enough of the left over juice out before dry burning. It's always best to run PGA/vodka/water through it again after the first dry burn to get rid of the burnt off juice/ash also. You can also try letting it soak in vinegar. I've used baking soda put it in the atty then poured vinegar into it and put my thumb over the top and let the chemical reaction clean the atty also wich works great if you rinse it out really good.
