Ok, for those in the know about TRUE absinthe, skip to next paragraph. If you've only ordered it in bars or from the liquor store, read the first.
Absinthe was a drink made from a special blend of herbs, imbibed by many artsy types for many years, as it had mind altering properties. These properties came from the blend of herbs which included certain highly toxic plants. As someone who's made it from the old recipes to try it, I can tell you it was a rather disgusting drink, but its effects were legal and definitely as described. Drink manufacturers today make a drink that's similar but not identical in taste, and without the mind altering effects.
Now, this liquid is somewhere on a line between the two. It is neither a true taste of the original drink, nor the alcoholic beverage normally available today.
First vape, the initial reaction was 'anise'.
Upon more vaping, I'm getting 'undernotes' of a few other flavors that have been added, but the strongest flavor is anise. It tastes like it has a bit of sassafras or horehound, and a hint of cinnamon. Now, this may be the mix reacting on tastebuds, but it even seems to have a hint of rosemary and basil in there as well. Overall, I love the final flavor combination, however it's not something that most people would consider a full-time vape. Loosely, it resembles Jägermeister.
Doing a quick lookup, its quite possible to have all these, as all are available from LorAnns or Flavourart.
Vapor production has been mediocre, however the attys I received in my order from china have been hit or miss. Its vaping like 'bad atty' and not 'bad fluid'. Also, since I went with a fresh cart for it, it may be the initial break-in period on the filler material (I use my own, which is a mixture of fluval and straw mod). Additional note, since I left this up before I hit submit, and went to lunch with a few friends; in a friends atty, it was producing far more vapor than his normal fluid.
Nicotine was spot-on with its mg strength, which is NOT something TW has (in the past) been good about. Usually, their 36mg is delivered as 30mg. This is from the 'sourced and produced completely in the UK' liquid, so that may account for the correct mg/ml.
Overall, I'm very happy with the end product. I will certainly be ordering the same again. The next time I order I'm going to ask if they can strengthen the flavor.
