RDA Deck swaps?

Ok trying to see if anyone knows if I could put a dark horse deck in a Mephisto v2. Maybe swap some O rings. I love the dark horse deck square posts are a A+++ In my book. But I love the body of the mephisto v2. I think it will preform better for vapor if I took the floating nylon piece out and tailpipe it. They both have huge post holes. (I build gargantuan builds) but idk lol. Im torn between the two. Anyone have experience between the two for cloud chasing. And also the doge v2 looks decent.

There is another thread on here where this guy is talking about doing this exact thing. I am not sure if it's feasible. You could always give it a shot, then tell us your success or failure.
I have the doge X, and that thing has Massive amounts of Airflow! never a hot vape!! $30 at vapordna (just sayin'...)!

Ive tried swapping topcaps with decks out of around 9 RDA's I own, none of them fit properly on others lol. The posts are either too tall and hit the chambers of other topcaps, or the raadius of the topcap is too small/big to fit snug over other decks even if I swap O-rings. + there are those decks where the topcaps rest on a lip at the bottom of the deck, and there are decks that dont have a lip on the bottom and where the topcap has a hinge inside itself that lies on the edge of the deck that is unseen. I never knew how RDA's are so different in these aspects til I had the idea you had.

I accidentally put my Mutation X Topcap on my Tugboat clone deck, and found out Real Quick that they are all NOT created equal!!

Lol I know. I just thought that the deed juice well in the mephisto v2 would compensate for the shallow well and taller posts on the dark horse. And the doge is mighty tempting also lol. Im torn between the three. I like um all in certain aspects. And the mephisto v2 is just plain sexy. So many damn choices with worthy contenders. ..

I know the tugboat2 topcap fits on the tugboat1 deck -- but thats about all the luck I've had switching decks so far...

my doge middle sleeve fits my darkhorse base then i put a tobh topcap on top and use it like this without a driptip, the doge sleeve without the air control allows for bigger coils and the standard opening on the topcaps of the tobh or mutationX feel better on the draw than chuff style topcap



i just tried my darkhorse with a v1 mephisto but it dont fit, i dont have a v2

Airek sleeve is interchangable with doge and darkhorse bases also & will fit the tobh base with thicker o-ring

Thanks for that trial for me. Im just gonna get all three (cloned) tobeco dark horse and doge. And the acerig mephisto v2 looks solid from a few reviews. There is also a greg mead v2 clone. All in all 45$ for all three off eBay.

I also tailpipe 90% of my RDA's its warmer and more flavor IMO. And the mephisto looks prime for tailpipe'n.
