Throat much, much better. I'm pretty much vaping as I please again but I'm concentrating on my most recent 6-pack which is 60% VG instead of my usual 70% (and I ordered a 3-pack at 50/50.) It's a question of how to find that happy medium -- too much PG dries out my throat and too much VG gives me a stomach ache. The 50/50 is going to be at 150% because if it turns out to be too VG-ish, I can add a little plain PG (which I have) without ruining the flavor.
Mini-reviewlets.
Custom Chocolate Cheesecake - for someone who believes chocolate is the second most perfect food in the world (soft shelled crabs are first but I don't want to vape them), I've had a very hard time finding chocolate vapes I like. Most of them taste like baking chocolate or chocolate liqueur to me. I don't like those faddish 97% cocoa chocolate bars. I like Hershey's and Cadbury's. So the only chocolate vape ingredient I've found that I like is the one in Deej's Chocolate Taffy and Mellow Chocolate. I asked for Chocolate Cheesecake with that one instead of the "rich chocolate swirls" he usually adds.
The result is very good -- chocolatey and cheesecakey without being too rich, dense or cloying. I'm enjoying it a lot but I don't think there's really a need for it. I already vape Chocolate Taffy (alone and with Peppermint Taffy) and Mellow Chocolate. This has a very similar taste profile to them so it doesn't really add anything to the party for me. So while I'm going to enjoy every drop in this 30ml bottle (and may even lick the bottle clean), I doubt I'll reorder it.
Sybil's Obsession -- this is a very sophisticate blend. You can taste all the elements (espresso, vanilla, chocolate, peppermint and cream.) I love peppermint vapes but peppermint is such a strong flavor it tends to overwhelm anything you pair it with. But deej's magical touch resulted in the perfect balance. I can taste a hint of it on the inhale but it doesn't really show up until the exhale and, even then, it's part of the mix, not the dominant flavor. I've only been vaping this for a couple of days and it's really growing on me. My only hesitation is that I taste something like anise on the inhale. I'm not a fan of black licorice and it's not one of the flavors in the blend. My guess is that it's either the espresso or the way the peppermint expresses itself on the inhale. So, for the first few puffs I thought "no way" but, as I said, it's definitely growing on me. I won't know until I finish the bottle whether it will be a regular but if you like anise and the other listed flavors, this is definitely worth trying.
The orange bottle caps and I don't like each other. I have to fight with them to get them off and fight harder to get them back on straight.
