Flavors that are retiring get put into the Retiring Flavors category. They're not gone yet, just moved out of the primary eliquid Categories.

(Retiring Flavors is right below eliquid Categories on the main page.)

Flavors will sit in the Retired Category for a little while (6 months) before they get pulled entirely off the site. Now, if a flavor in the Retired Category sees a resurgence of sales, they'll get moved back to their appropriate eliquid Category.

What puts a flavor in the Retired Category? If the flavor has not sold a minimum of 180ml during the previous 6 month period, it's a candidate. Flavors that are younger than 6 months are not considered candidates... the flavor MUST be at least 6 months old.

What "un-retires" a flavor? If the flavor has sold a minimum of 180ml during the 6 month period since retirement it will be restored to the regular menu.

We reserve the right to un-retire a flavor at ANY time if we believe that a name/description change might serve to spark more interest.

Once a flavor is un-retired, the 6-month candidate clock is reset.

BTW: 180ml over 6 months is (1) 30ml bottle per month.

I fully understand the reasoning. I remember Deej once said there was a flavor that had only been ordered once (although it may have been ordered a few times since then.) The sheer size of the list is fun but it has to be very confusing for new customers to navigate and pick from. And if you get to delete any ingredient completely, I'm sure it will make your purchasing more efficient.

I remember when Deej's goal was 365 flavors. If you retire 250, you'll still have that (plus a few) -- enough for a flavor a day for a whole year.

Noooooooo! I only have 72ml of Fig Cheesecake left. And I see you're killing Fig too so you won't even have the ingredients in stock. Alas. (And I will survive.)

White Chocolate and White ChocoRaspberry Cheesecake are going. Will White Chocolate Cheesecake remain? Trav got me hooked on that. I was planning to kick Irish Cream Cheesecake out of the nest to make room for it.

The reason I haven't been ordering Poeia's MG is because I had a lot of Sweet Gingerbread on hand so I've been winging it. I'm vaping that right now. But Sweet Gingerbread and Peppermint are staying so I'll order a couple more bottles with the magic DeejTouch and, when they're gone, return to combining them by hand.

I've ordered about 20 of those flavors (including 2 that I'll be trying for the first time when my most recent order arrives.) I disliked 2 enough to toss them but I understand why most of the others aren't popular enough to remain. I'm surprised about the Bluemel Carraberry. I was semi-indifferent to it but I thought it was popular. And, while I don't really order the taffies any longer, I'm sad to see Black Cherry Taffy go -- it was my favorite fruit taffy.

To kick it back to the normal menu (from the Retired category) only needs 180ml sold over a 6mo period... I'm sort of hoping that when people see the list, they'll recall that they really loved one of the flavors, but just sort of forgot about it.

Bluemel Caraberry was pretty popular from Summer-2011 through Spring-2012 (peaking in Winter-2011/2012), but sales were 0 in Summer-2012 and lackluster since.

Anyway... even if a flavor is purged (knocked off the Retired menu), we'll likely still have some of the flavoring on hand. And we aren't deleting any recipes.

Also... that list isn't final... I'll be doing one more run closer to our end-of-year shutdown (26-Dec to 2-Jan). Still time to save a flavor!!!

You may want to recount lovey..........we're trying to go below 200-that may take a few months though.

When he wanted 365 flavors there were very few mixers. Now everybody and his uncle with a DIY kit are starting companies. Our ultimate goal is 100-150, with only the best of the best making the cut

I usually get my regular flavors without searching much. Though i have looked around a bit when I've need just one more flavor to round out a 6-pack. it does make sense to limit the flavors to something under a gazillion.
