Got a gift for my fellow Deejsters. 2 months of Hulu Plus for free!

You can get a week free just by going to their website. Some sites offer a free month. The 2 free months offer is pretty rare.

If you've got a "smart" TV, DVD player, etc, or Roku Box, anything with with the Hulu app really, you're good to go. You can also view it on smart phones, tablets, or computers.

It is supposedly for new members only BUT... (Having used a trial membership before) I was able to do it by just giving a different email address. All of the info I used was exactly the same, even the credit card. I only used a different email address.

Yeah you do have to give them a valid CC, but it will not be charged if you quit before the 2 months are up. And it's very easy to cancel unlike some other services.

I find Hulu plus to be the perfect compliment to Netflix. While Netflix has tons of Movies and past seasons of TV shows, Hulu Plus is geared much more towards current TV series and shows. Most often you can get last night's latest episode of many shows the next day. Some shows will have the last 5 or so episodes available, while others have the entire current season listed. there's also lots of "specials" and one time only shows as well.

Enjoy!

Hulu - Watch TV and movies via Xbox, PS3, Wii and more | Hulu Plus

Oh yeah... the one downside to Hulu Plus is they have commercials. But they're short. You usually just get 3 20-second commercials in a row, then it's back to the show.

For those who don't have Netflix, seems they're offering a free month as well. https://signup.netflix.com/?locale=...552179&CJSID=VXhlWC1uOEFBUUVBQUhudzlIRUFBQUFO

Who doesn't like free stuff? :D

Got another present, this time for gamers.

The game is called Thief: Gold, it's a first person RPG style game.

Stalk your prey on the quest for stolen goods with your blackjack, sword, and an assortment of unique arrows. Steal for money and uncover the hidden agendas of your allies and enemies as you play through an unravelling story of deception and revenge. Survive in a world where shadows are your only ally, trust is not an option, and confrontation results in death!

Key Features:

•Pioneering stealth based gameplay brings a new dimension to first person action.
•Thief Gold includes Thief The Dark Project (12 huge missions with multiple environments) and the Gold update (3 new campaign missions which deepen the plot and add five new types of enemies)
•Advanced enemies can see, hear, speak, and sound alarms.
•Your arsenal includes: blackjack, sword, fire arrows, water arrows, rope arrows and more

Just click this link, put in a name and email address (fake info works fine). It will then give you a code (copy it) and a link to Amazon. Add it to cart and checkout like normal. Amazon will provide a place to enter the code. Once entered, the game is free. A Steam account is needed though to play the game. Which I'm sure you already have from the last free game I posted. :p

Afternoon, Clowder!

I've been fighting net problems for the past few days... looks like I've finally vanquished those demons.

I've also been thinking about the Game (insert ominous music here).

I'm moving the Game to Saturdays. I want to be able to get more people involved, and having the Game in the middle of the workday in the middle of the workweek may be a factor against greater involvement.

If I started the Game around 11am my time, that'd be ... um ... 1pm on the East Coast. I'm hoping that this will allow more people to participate.

I'll entertain your thoughts on this... like I always do... :)

Saturday is much better for me. I can't promise I'll be there at the stroke of one every week but it will be shortly thereafter so I can help. (Occasional Dad visiting being the main exception.)

Morning folks!

Dropped Rocky off at the vet this morning for what I thought would be neutering and hernia repair. But the vet office called me and said (after the doc examined) there was no sign of any hernia.

That's all well & good, less money from me, less trauma for him etc.

But it leaves me at a loss as to what exactly are the lumps I've been feeling in his abdominal area. They started out small down close to his groin area, but have since grown and usually run up along his inner thighs. They're soft and moveable and can be manipulated back down towards his groin. They feel (to me) to be tubular like an intestine would, and one side seems longer than the other.

I've read something somewhere about possible fat deposits in this area. Hopefully the vet can/will clear things up when I pick him up this afternoon.

Anyway, Emma and I miss him already. He cried all the way to the vet's, but he calmed down a good bit once we got inside. It seemed almost as if he recognized his former home.

I'll be glad that there's nothing to be concerned with regarding his belly. But he loves having his belly rubbed I and enjoy doing it for him, and those odd lumps somewhat detract from the whole thing. I was always worried about causing discomfort or making things worse. Maybe it won't be so bad knowing it's not a problem.

Yeah, that's Rocky's little stuffed Ren doll, from The Ren & Stimpy Show. Shirt says "U EEDIOT!".
