i taste the licorice a little more than the clove, but i like both flavors and they're true to taste. Not at all like a clove cigarette- but like an actual clove. The flavors mix well with the peach.
I've only had one experience with cloves when I was 16. I had a bad toothache and someone told me to put clove on it. I just about went though the roof with pain. Had to go to the emergency room.
Worked the opposite for me. The hospital had a dentist on call at the time. I don't think they do that anymore. Got the offending tooth pulled.

Fran, don't let me scare you. Clove is a flavor. It's those little spiked things they stick into the outside of hams and it's in gingerbread too. I like it, just in limited quantities. That's why I didn't expect to love the sweet gingerbread the way I do.
If there's a black licorice element, however, I'd never get used to that. Love the red. Don't like anise.

Dunno if I'd have gone with something like spiced peach as my first test of a new vendor. Besides the fact that the description doesn't sound all that appealing to me. But that's just my tastes, for all I know it might be very yummy.
Back when I was still testing out vendors, I'd either try to stick with something simple thinking if they screwed that up how could I expect them to make anything complex. Or I'd order something borderline complex but already knew what to expect based on having tried it from other vendors. More than likely I'd order one of each.
Your contest winnings wouldn't be entered into the computer with your normally placed order, your email invoice / order update is probably just going to include the original order info. But I would bet that Deej made a handwritten note somewhere to include your winnings along with the order shipment.
Was going through the steeping box last night. Holy crap I've got like 10-12 different cheesecakes waiting that I've never tried, plus tons of other yummy new (to me) flavors, and I still have a 6 pack on the way of some of the absolute latest flavor releases!
And people wonder why I often have as many as 15-20 devices / batteries loaded up at the same time.
Current rotation in the bedroom / mancave:
Raspberry Cheesecake
Lime Cheesecake
Caramel cappuccino Cheesecake
NY Cheesecake
Blackfire Honey
Vanilla Custard
Crème Brulee
Apple Pie
Lemone Meringue Pie
Fig Cheesecake
And there's probably like another 6-8 in the kitchen!
