Not very effective on carpet and concrete backed tile.... but humorous nevertheless. It's laziness, ..., and being 15. All three of those add up to just about nothing when it comes to motivation and performance. Extra effort.I would like to see any effort!!! Its tough being a teen nowdays.
I don't do the boot thing.
That was me kidding around!
I don't believe in the boot thing (physically) but grounding, dishes, homework, etc. IS THE BOOT!
Yes, I keep trying to remember when those were.
No, claims there isn't enough time to change. But the rest of the class manages to pull it off. Heck, its first period, so she can show up dressed out.

I don't blame her for not wanting to get all disheveled, sweaty, stinky, etc. first thing in the morning!
I wouldn't do it either, I just skipped class and read a book!

Fortunately the only needs a semester of PE, so if she can squeak thru the rest she sill be OK.She got a B the first six weeks and that was when it was hot here.Fortunately the only needs a semester of PE, so if she can squeak thru the rest she sill be OK.
Back to juice..... Carrot cake..... Hmmmm. Think you can pull it off Deej?
Physical discipline can be very good, but you cant start late. They have to figure it out that you mean business from the very beginning. The other key factor is that you can never do it out of anger. Unfortunately I wasnt consistent in disciplining (physically) my children early on. Its too late to start now. So, at this point its a give a carrot, take a carrot situation.
I have wooden floors so the stomping was quite effective at annoying the crap out of me!!! No slamming doors here.....they would not have a door in a heartbeat!!
I'm out of here.......goodnight Deej, Ralph and mg![]()
I never spanked mine (unless they were doing something dangerous i.e. playing with matches)
When my daughter was about 2 1/2, I told her she had to get into the corner because she had done (whatever, I don't remember).
She wouldn't, so I just sat cross-legged Indian style with her in my lap, my arms around her, and we both sat in the corner!
She swung her arms around and wriggled, but I just silently held on. Then when she settled down, I explained to her why she had to take a time out.
The funniest thing is, my son (about 11 months younger) saw this. I NEVER had to sit him in the corner.
I'd just say Boogie Bear, do you want to go to the corner?
He'd say "No, mommy, I'll be good now!" and he was!
LOL!

Time for me to lay down my head. Night Deej and MG.![]()
