That hookers post was awfully optimistic if you ask me. If they have any kind of special at all, it's probably something like "Twice the VD."
That was a question I got asked hesitantly by my new (soon to be ex) PCP. "Have you ever had a VD?" I could proudly answer that nope, I had not ever. Not even the warts. LOL.
I also stated that I had been married for 15 years and tested 3 years ago. I was glad she didn't ask why, she probably assumed, "Maybe this chick had an affair." Something. But that's better than, "Husband went nuts, sort of tried to have one and failed, and patient was too craven to like, get tested for a long time for fear of the possible emotional fallout in case he was Lying the Whole Time."
I wouldn't care to have an affair, but it's less wussy than the ACTUAL TRUTH.
Honestly though it was bad doctoring to like, not ask although to be fair, not everyone is as nosy and outspoken as ME. When I DID get tested they didn't even tell me the results, I had to ASK at my next visit. My doc was like, "Oh we just assumed it was a regular thing and they're fine." I was like, "Nope, actually I waited 5 years to do this, and was not assuming ANYTHING about them... .My husband was, well having a moment." Then my doc was like, "Oh... bless you dear, and you should not wait on something like that, ever, it's always better to know." And I wanted to say, "Well, you don't seem to think so you didn't even give me the RESULTS." LOLz but he was being too nice, so I couldn't.
That is not a question you should just ASK people, frankly. I mean, if you think it might be VD, you test for it, period. There's never anything wrong with disclosing a "hidden VD" and a TON wrong with say, undiagnosed and untreated syphilis. I mean, look at Hitler. He was an unpleasant person to start with, but I don't think the syphilitic psychotic untreated brain process exactly did him any favors near the end, either.
