Defective 5v mod box

I'm hoping somebody can advise me on this.

I recently received a 5v mod box from madvapes and am experiencing a problem. Two times now I have discovered that when I activate the tactile button and then release it the circuit stays hot. The problem is intermittent. I sent it back for an exchange but they claim they can't duplicate the problem and are returning it. The person I've been communicating with claims that if I use the device in the sunlight the sun will shine on the LED and activate the circuit. This seems unlikely to the point of being improbable. Anybody else ever hear of this type of situation?

Do a search, this has been reported before. It seems too much light on some LED's can produce enough voltage to energise a circuit. A bit like a microphone can also act as a speaker. I think the suggested solution was a bit of tape!
