Ever since 3 AM last night, I have completely lost the ability to get any sort of decent throat hit, yet the vapor is still excellent! I've been dripping different flavored 18mg MFS juice, and I haven't had any problems with throat hit whatsoever throughout the 6 weeks I've been vaping. I have both the ego and tornado kits, and 510 atomizers from MFS, TW, and Rocky Mountain Vapor. Last night I was dripping blueberry with a TW manual battery, and I noticed that the throat hit was gone, but vapor production was still the same. I switched to a freshly charged eGo battery, and it was the same. I then broke out a brand new Rocky mountain atty, and I couldn't get a decent throat hit from that either!

I've now tried 3 different batteries and 3 attys over a 24 hour period, and the TH is simply gone. I just received fresh juice in the mail today, but I'm still getting the same dissatisfying result.

Has anyone else experienced this before? It seems like I've developed a tolerance instantly, after 6 weeks of joyful vaping! That doesn't seem realistic, but I don't know what else to think.

I have had similar experiences. There have been times when absolutely nothing seems to satisfy. I've blamed it on the juice, on the PV and on the atty, but when many different combos all act the same, it must be me. Whether its air and humidity related or a combination of what I've eaten, drunk or vaped, I really can't say. Usually the next day is much better.

In my short time, I`ve had the same experience. I figured TH was a thing of the past. I filled a flat tip cart that was loose on my PV, and bam it was back. Then it seemed as though I had it with all my carts again.

Well last night that cart finally became so loose I had to say good bye to it. Felt like I should have some kind of ceremony for the darned thing it had been so good to me. Today I`m back to chasing the elusive TH again. I fee your pain. For me it has to be the amount of air I take in with the vape, but no matter what technique I try I just can`t find it without a loose fitting cart.

Funny that 2 people on the same day complains about a decrease in throat hit in 2 differents posts (first one is here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/99447-throat-hit-decreases.html). not that funny though that it is actually happening to many of us and nobody answered yet that it's just a phase and the throat hit will return.

Maybe that's why so many people are switching to higher voltage after a few months of vaping since it gives a higher throat hit?

Yeah now I'm curious and wondering if this happens to everybody, a few people, or if tis related to certain PV's or juices? I remain skeptical and hoping that this isn't a common occurance especially because there's not a ton of replies to these two recent threads. I'd say do a survey on whether or not people still have TH's, how long they've been vaping, what kit's they're using and juices..... Sounds like a lot of work.. lol.. but I'm trying to avoid the problem at all costs. I still get TH's for the most part, and only have issues when the cart is drying up or if I've been vaping nonstop. Also tilting the head back and stretching the neck out while inhaling gives a bigger TH for me everytime. It might look funny tho lol

Well I know if I pass my PV to my wife, and she hits it for 1/2 as long as I do she coughs, so it has to be some kind of tolerance issue, because she`s a vaper too. Then again sometimes she`ll hand me hers, and I think it`s got a good TH when mine doesn`t. The answer lies somewhere, the elusive TH.

To me though I guess that`s part of the thing I like about vaping, at times it can be frustrating, but when it clicks on all cylinders man it`s awesome!

Been vaping for a little over a year now and definitely hit times where the same routine just doesnt seem to satisfy. Maybe it happens after a day or two of excessive vaping, I dunno. Usually when this happens I drop juice mg from 24 to 18 and up the voltage to 6v from 5v. I dont want more nicotine, just the throat hit, which is why i drop juice strength. The 6 volt kick normally gets me over the hump and am back down to 5v 1 or 2 days later. It actually comes in handy for me cuz I normally pull out the lower strength juice I dont much care for, since 6v tends to trade flavor for vapor/th.

I find I get less tolerance for TH on more days than not and have to inhale more slowly or less deeply, or just switch over to my zero nic juices for a while or Im coughing big time. I find cartos give me a lot more TH so Ive pretty much stopped using them and gone back to dripping.
I think its 'us' rather than the juices or equipment.
Do you direct inhale btw? That might up your TH? (dont hold vapor in the mouth just pull it straight into your lungs)

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your replies!! The throat hit has come back. It took almost 2 days, but I started to feel it again. My final verdict is that it was me and not my equipment. Even now though, I still haven't gotten one of those really deeply burning hits that I used to get every so often before, but I am starting to enjoy vaping again. My desire for analogs isn't there either, so all is good.
