Background: I've been vaping and analog-free for 4 months. After my first few days of vaping, I had to urinate more frequently due to additional water intake (I've always drank plenty of water but increased my intake due to PG being a humectant), urine was stronger in color, odor, and apparent "viscosity", and I had a dull kidney pain that lasted about 1 day. No big deal. After the first few weeks I thought..."This is great! I'm finally off cigs, I'm flushing out my body, and I'm drinking even more water!". I'd occassionally get a mild headache after heavy vaping (I typically vape only as much as I used to smoke...a few minutes every hour or so as needed) due to nicotine intake and/or mild dehydration. Again, no big deal.
Issue: For the last 2 days I've had a more frequent dull headache and my saliva is EXTREMELY salty...a sign of dehydration. Makes vaping taste bad, affects what I eat, and when I fill my mouth with water my salivary glands excrete enough salt to make it taste like sea water. I've cut back on vaping significantly, have been drinking a lot more water (more frequently in less quantity to minimize urination), and have cut back on salty foods and caffeine.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm not ready to give up vaping for fear of returning to analogs, but I also don't want to deal with dehydration and my other issues. Thanks for any input you might have.
