Hi all,

I ordered 6 different juices from a major supplier when I was first starting out. I did not know what dekang juices were at the time but they were dekang juices. Out of those 6, 5 of them have this undertone flavor that I really do not like. It's hard to describe but it is somewhat perfumy and maybe a little bit sweet. The vanilla was the only one that did not have this undertone. Now, I ordered a new bottle of dekang vanilla and it has this taste.

For those that use dekang, or have used a significant amount of it, what is this taste? Is there any way to get rid of it?

I really liked the bottle of dekang vanilla I had before. I would order it again but now I don't know if I would get the good stuff or the crappy tasting stuff. I'm already stuck with 30ml of the crappy stuff.

Any help is appreciated.

For the record, I know there are a lot of other juice suppliers out there and there are a lot of opinions on who has the best juice. For this post, I am only interested in figuring out this particular issue with dekang juice. Thanks.

I'm stuck with a 50ml bottle of crappy menthol,I hadn't figured out what makes it taste so bad.my guess is you don't how long it sat on their shelf so it could be just old juice. Is it pg or vg ? If it's both then the sweetness comes from the vg..Thats about all I know about it sorry I couldn't help you further..maybe ask the veterans I've only been at this a few months so I'm still a newb.

I think I know what you're talking about, but I don't have any Dekang juice yet. There are a couple suppliers that I've tried whose flavors all remind me of what you described . . . to me, it's kind of how glycerin soap smells. I don't know if it's the exact same taste, but these suppliers could be using Dekang as a base for their juice, or they just simply repackage. They aren't extremely unpleasant, they just are . . . odd. I keep mixing them into my rotation and a couple are becoming enjoyable.

I've bought quite a few different Dekang juices and they are inconsistent. Their tobacco flavors seem to be about the same each time but all the others I've tried vary from batch to batch. I've found this to be true of some of the American brands too though. I know the flavor you're talking about, I've got quite a few bottles of the stuff in a box. I just keep some around "just in case". I've also given quite a few away to some unlucky souls, although they usually appreciate them more than I did. If you liked the original vanilla, try ordering it from another supplier in a small quantity to see if it's better. I've been ordering mine from Litecigusa.net - Dekang_10ml.

I received a 50ml bottle of DK 555, last week and loved it. So then I ordered 50ml bottles of virginia and tobacco flavor. The tobacco was good, not as good as the 555, but good. The virginia has some sort of undertone flavor to it. Can't describe it, but it's there and it's not a perfume flavor. I haven't yet ordered enough dekang, to determine whether or not it's because of inconsistent production. Either way, I'm going to keep buying it, because you just can't beat the price. It is a great juice to use as a mixer, to tone down the overbearing flavors in USA made juices and it also adds a nice TH kick. I also get a sort of burnt carmel undertone from the USA made flavors and mixing dekang helps get rid of that, as well.

So far no real answers. I read through that other thread but it didn't have any solid information.

Really looking for someone who uses dekang juices on a regular basis and can comment on the variations from batch to batch and any proven ways to even them out.

I thought the other thread made some OK sense. Maybe what we taste aren't the same things. FWIW, here is an FAQ from the Dekang website:

3. What are the ingredients in Dekang e liquid?

Answer:
Ingredients contain:

Propylene Glycol 74%, Vanilla Extract 11%, Malic acid 3%, 3-Methylcyclopentane-1, 2-dione 2.5% ,Piperonal 1.5% ,Damascenone 0.2% ,Acetylpyrazine 1%,Rose oil 1.5% ,Rhodinol 0.3% ,Eleutheroside E1 5%

With that much vanilla, it looks like this is the ingredients for a specific flavor. But, if they all have rose oil, that would match part of what I've been tasting.

I do only Dekang! I buy PG 24 nicotine. I buy them in 30 ml bottles at 7 bucks each from a china wholesale. The main ones I like are
Rum- Very nice, has a Captain Morgans taste to it and a touch of a leaf tobacco
Cuban Cigar- Wow, just like a real cigar..maybe not a Cuban but like a 3-4 dollar cigar..i like it...
Banana- Smooth, rich, great vapor..a nice fruit vape
555- WOW AMAZING! Just one of my favorites --very tobacco like..very tasty!
Virginia- This taste like a real 100% Kent Cigarette. This is the closest to a cigarette you can get.
Cigar- I like it..taste like a backwoods cigar.
Blueberry- Love it! Just so good..mix it with 555 and it is the BOMB!
Whiskey- Has a slight Jim Beam taste to it. Also a great one to mix with 555 State St.
Flue Cured- Also not bad..not my favorite but it is ok..i mix this with banana alot and it taste like a Kiss cigarette
Marlboro- about the same as flue cured.
RY4- very good..a wonderful taste and good to mix with anything
i think the China Dekang ejuices are all good..Very good for that matter and for the $. The one two i didnt like was French pipe and cotton candy. french pipe tasted to me like a non filtered stale tobacco cig.

That was kind of the point of that thread, there aren't any real answers to this question yet.
But maybe someone will come along with some better answers, or any answers for that matter!
:)
