Dekang So Called Banana

Hi all, this is my first post here at the ECF. I have been vaping for 5 weeks (no more analogs) and so far I love it. I have tried many flavors of liquid and own a few ego tanks.
I recently ordered 20ml of 16mg and 20ml of 8mg 75%VG/25%PG Dekang brand banana flavored liquid. I have had Dekang banana before and was very pleased with its flavor, it was 75%PG/25%VG. This new liquid has a very strange taste and smell. It is like someone dissolved tobacco in rubbing alcohol and both bottles taste and smell like that. The liquid is also a dark brown color. Has anybody had any problems with Dekang liquid lately? Is VG liquid always this dark in color?

No, VG doesn't make juice brown. The level of nicotine and the type of flavor will make liquid brown.
I've never seen a brown banana flavored liquid and I've ordered lots of banana.
Why do you buy Dekang liquid anyway?
There are lots of good, high quality juices made right here in the USA.
Where did you order the juice from? Does it have the date it was made on the bottle?

If you just received it, contact the vendor and voice your complaints. They might make it right.

I got it from Healthcabin.net. I like their house brand of e-liquid too but they didnt have the VG in banana and for some reason thats what I wanted to try. I have yet to find a U.S. vendor that can match their price. I would love to order my juice form the states but as far as I can see its always double or triple the money. We do have an e-cig vendor close to my hometown but they sell only Dekang fluid and even that is exactly twice the price.

I have been considering changing the juice I am using though. I have the ego-t and I thought I would get great flavor from it but so far I am disappointed. The best I can ever get is just a little bit of flavor. I get plenty of vapor and throat hit just not much flavor. Any ego-t users have any suggestions?

ego-t is known to diminish flavors. i have an ego-t as well and i improved the flavor greatly by ditching the ego-t and switching to high quality cartomizers ;-)
'sfars juices go....its such a crap shoot...i for one, since deciding to start vaping, am making sure i get the best tasting juice, not the cheapest. i rather spend another $40 a month to get something tasty. (vaperbomb)
although it is always good to pinch the pennies, i aint gonna do it on liquids.

Bad news all around!

Much darker than expected color and "rubbing alcohol smell" can be a sign for two things:
1- When they extracted the flavoring or the nicotine (typically using an alcohol), they didn't dry it completely. Yuck! You don't want to inhale that.
2- The juice hasn't been stored or shipped properly and decomposed (light or heat can do that). You don't want to inhale those by-products either. (PG can give you all sorts of alcohols...)

Ditch the juice and complain to your supplier.

Thanks for all the quick answers! I wont be smoking any of that again! It sounds like you are right Astatine. Strong smell of alcohol for sure.

I also have been trying to find out more about cartomizers. Do you have to go through all the business of removing the little mouthpiece and punching a hole in the cart that I have seen people doing? Is there an easy way to fill them? Are they basically like a tank combined with a polyfill?

I received an order from Vaporbomb.com and I like it. It is totally different from Dekang brand e-liquid. It seems to have much more flavor and a smoother throat hit. The shipping was also incredibly fast.

I'm not sure you got the right liquid there... I've had a chance to use dekang banana and its clear not murky/dark as you described for sure. You can report this to HC and i'm sure they will be happy to replace it.
