Delay in firing

I'm back to vaping and I don't remember this from before but I am getting about a 2-3 second delay between when I push the button and when I hear the sizzle of my coil. It doesn't matter whether I am using my I stick or my tesla. This is with the Russian 91% Is this normal? If not what's causing it?

I take it you are building your own coils with the Russian? Depends on the mass of the coil. Thicker wire takes longer to heat.

1.2 ohms at 7 watts. If I turn it up much more it tastes burned.

I haven't built on it yet. This was built by the person that gave it to me with 32 gauge Kanthal and cotton bacon.

screwed in tight, also check your 510 pin is clean. How long has tank been stored with liquid in it?

Tight meaning tightened into the posts. I have seen mine are loose after dry firing and squeezing them together at times. The heat expands the metal to a degree which can cause them to not be tight.

Pin is clean. Ive been using it daily for about a week.

I would re-wick it and test fire the ohms. It sounds like the cotton is already burnt and you can burn off any gunk on the wire. Then put in new cotton or rayon and try it.

Have you taken the wick out and fired the deck to see if its happenig there?

Are you Sure about 32awg? Should ramp up immediately.
If your coil is not attached tightly to the posts, you resistance readings will oscillate.

I know everyone vapes different but when I was using that style of tank at those ohms coil gauge I was in the 13-15 watt range

I have found that no matter which cotton I use or rayon I get a funny taste with it. So, after much research and reading, and before putting the tank back together, is to drop ejuice onto the coil and saturate the wicking as much as possible(not a mess tho) and fire it again and let it smoke for a few seconds. I sometimes repeat this process twice. It removes any funny taste I get from the cotton.

That's what he said. I just looked and now it says 1.25 ohms.

Nope. I will try that when my cotton gets here.
