I was in manage attachments but theres no box to check off to delete the attachments.So just wanting to know how to delete them.Any and all help welcome.

hi, drott! i just went and looked where i thought the 'delete' option used to be but something must have changed 
i can no longer figure out how i used to do it!
let's hope sonic who seems to be keeping an eye on threads in here has a solution

i googled it and came across this

but they are full of it - i tried that and nothing changed .................
it might have deleted the attachments in the posts but i'm too lazy to check

first you delete the attachments in your settings and then ..... drumroll ......

When I go to settings and scroll down to the bottom...on the left it says attachments, I click on that - it brings up a page of my attachments and there are boxes on the right to check if I want to delete them...
any help for you ?

that's what i did, classy - but when i go to the upload manager the attachments are still there
there used to be a delete function in there which has disappeared.i'm still showing 1.63 mb used out of 5 or whatever
I have some attachments that have the delete box and others that don't. I'm thinking it might have to do with the age of the attachments as my older attachments are the ones without the delete box. And they seem to be in closed/locked threads also.
delete box or not - it all has the same end result, namely nothing!

I was able to delete attachments today that have a delete box.
I'm using Safari on my iMac with Lion if that makes a difference.
How do I get to attachment manager if not via my settings page?

go through the back door pick a thread and pretend you want to post - go advanced then click on the attachment icon. that will give you a page showing all the pics you are storing. i deleted all the attachments through ''my settings'' but when i go and check all my pics are still in the upload manager

They do seam to be in closed threads.I have some less than a month old but the thread was closed.I've tryed several things none worked so far.
that might be so in my case too but we should still be able to remove the uploaded pics through the upload file manager
Got it, tibs. Thanks for teaching me something new. I rarely go to advance to post so I never noticed that there. And with Safari, I can only upload pictures with the basic uploader - one file at a time.

nope, drott - i tried that too - i dragged and then deleted - nothing happens i guess those pics are there for posterity!

Another option (for future reference, anyway), is to use imgur or photobucket to host your photos. You don't even have to sign up at imgur, and you can copy from your computer, and paste into the screen on imgur. It will then give you a link already set with the BB code that vBulletin uses. So easy, copy the code, paste into post, and voila! And no worries about filling your limit here. If you sign up at imgur, easy to delete what you don't want later, or if you don't sign up, it will give you a delete link you can save for later if you want.

seriously though - i've been using tinypic and had forgotten all about the uploaded pics till drott asked and then i tried to delete
