Hi there! :vapor:

I joined a few years ago when I got a blu e-cig starter pack to try and quit cigarettes (but not nicotine... I like nicotine), got intimidated by the absolute mass of content here, the blu did not work out, and I went back to cigarettes (unsurprisingly, in hindsight... it was just insufficient). Husband got an AquaSmoke eGo setup 2 months ago to try out mid-size vapes on the advice of a friend, and I waited a week to get one of my own. I wanted to see if it would work for him, since he's always been a little heavier smoker than I am and the blu failed so very miserably for both of us. Well, he hasn't touched a cigarette since and neither have I since getting my own vapes to use, so now I'm back! :D

I'm still using the Aquasmoke batteries (and will until they die) but have upgraded to Kanger clearos (T3S and Mini ProTank II) since the AquaSmoke clearos/ coils were sub-par, and I am verrry happy. Cigarettes taste awful now, and I no longer have to worry about burning my hair or finding someone to watch the baby while I go outside. Husband has already moved into APVs, which is getting expensive, but I'm mostly ok with it. ;)

It sounds like you kind of took the same path that I did as I am sure most others did too. Congrats on giving up the stinkies!

I feel a little funny saying this as I am a n00b here too but welcome to ECF.

:) Hey thanks!

Welcome to ECF! I've been a lurker myself and just joined today too.

Since I started vaping, I can't even stand to be around cigarette smoke. It's so great not to have to drop everything and go outside anymore!

For some reason, the smoke smell still makes me want one, but remembering the awful taste the last time I had one shuts that down pretty quick! Thanks for the welcome!

welcome back! always nice to hear another success story. it seems i hear more and more how the improvements in equipment have made more winners in the battle against cigs. be sure to make everyone you know who smokes aware of how well it worked for you. best of luck :vapor:

Yeah, the better equipment made ALL the difference for us. I had friends/ family interested when I tried the blu, and now that the new setup is actually working we've just about converted DH's mom and sister (his dad says he LIKES the tar, so he's unlikely to switch...ew). I'm working on my mom... she's interested but skeptical.

Thanks so much for the welcome everyone!!

ETA--> Oops! Missed one!

That's a wonderful story and it's funny how many of start out the exact same way!

You're in for a confusing, but wonderful time. What I mean, is that with all the different devices out there, you'll be confused by them, but will enjoy trying them out!

again....congrats!

Yeah, I'm definitely having a bit of confusion. I'm honestly happy with the setup I have at the moment, but DH is trying to get me into rebuildables and it's toooo much. At least for now, anyway.

That can take some time to go away, it was quite a while for me that the smell of my old brand would ignite a hunger, but the taste will always be there as a deterrent ;-)

Welcome :)

Welcome! Glad you "delurked" :)

Welcome :)

Thanks to both of you! (my goodness this is a much faster-paced forum than I am used to!)
