The thread title is a song by Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Miles live at the Monterey Pop Festival from the early 70's. That gives away my age. It bests describes things these days.

In the 3 weeks since discovering e-cigs, over a week since smoking an analog, I am transitioning from a retail starter kit with it's particular design and specs, to realizing I want something more generic. This could become very expensive but I figure the trade off in costs in the long run is worth it. You can search my user name to read my journey thus far.

I do not consider myself an expert but I have learned alot from hours of browsing this forum and other internet searches.

For those who have recently entered the vaping world I will say that you will also make many discoveries and realize what exactly it is you want/need to move away from analog cigs. The venture is well worth the time and expense you make. The long-term costs savings and health benefits are worth it all.

My wife asks whether I am smoking more, she doesn't understand the terminology or difference yet. When I think about it I am not vaping more than when I was smoking. I can have a couple of draws on my e-cig and put it down and be satisfied, where with an anolog I would puff away so as not to waste the analog. Hot boxing usually being the thing I would do to get the most out of the cig before going inside to warm back up. With a beer in hand I always tended to puff more, that has not changed as of yet (BELCH)!

First off congrats on switching over. Try a couple of Twists (don't forget a charger) and either a Vivi Nova or Kanger T3. Great intro into VV and either the T3 or Nova will be loads better than a retail setup.

Love that song, and I was just a tyke when it was recorded. I'm partial to Electric Lady Land and the Band of Gypsies.

Twists are a nice step up. I'm at work so I can't post the voltage/wattage safe zone picture, but maybe someone can step in and provide it. They are really nice to fine tune your vape.

Glad you've been off the nails! My wife is a non-smoker and asked me the same things. She was taken aback that I would puff 2-3 times and then put it down for 20 mins. After about a week of me not smoking, my wife stopped caring and was just glad that I wasn't smoking. Even after buying a bunch of juices, and upgrading to a Vamo after 2 months smoke free, I'm still showing a profit.
