Yeah, my asthma isn't really that bad. I was first diagnosed in high school when I started playing in both band classes (picked up trumpet as well as the trombone I had been playing for years) and I began getting very out of breath and dizzy during the second class. Few things really bother my asthma (bleach, aerosols, hot humid weather) and smoking wasn't one of them, so I never had any inclination to stop. Usually when I have an attack, a few puffs of my albuterol and some rest and I'm all good. Been lucky enough to never have been hospitalized because of it, though during my last surgery, they had some problems keeping me awake once my anesthesia wore off, said that between the asthma and smoking that I was starting to display symptoms of sleep apnea.

I'm glad I could make you smile ^_^. My grandparents have lived here for as long as I can remember and I have lots of fond memories. They actually live right along Crane Lake (the little lake we always called it) with a boat, private dock, fishing deck and everything. We recently moved here from Ashville so that we could be nearer to them and help them out more. My grandpa had a heart attack a couple years ago and my grandma has a plethora of medical problems so it helps the whole family breath a little easier knowing someone is nearby.

I love love LOVE vaping, although at times I feel like I've traded one addiction for another. (This is simply due to the fact that I feel like I'm becoming obsessed w/ wanting more... more juices, a mod or dozen, various odds and ends...)
When I got my KGO kit (1100maH) in on Feb. 23rd and got it charged up, I was smitten. My first pv when I originally joined was a complete failure and it was only after I had spent too much on a pos system that I ended up here for the first time.

At least this time, I had this site saved and when I got the money again, I got a recommended product and I've been hooked on it since. I feel better, mentally and physically (other than the pg giving me sore muscles which I am remedying by going to straight vg) and I'm already looking into mods as well as trying nearly every flavor I can get my hands on. Alas... none of that's going to happen anytime soon so in the meantime, I'll happily vape what I've got, try a few new juices here and there, and revel in the bliss that it has given me, my daughters and the kitties.

It sounds like grandpa and grandma have a real sweetheart in you, KaitLynn. I imagine they are thrilled to have you nearby - it is awesome that you moved closer to keep an eye on them.

I'm also glad to hear that asthma has not been dreadful to you, yet. Hopefully, with your smoking cessation your asthma will continue to be mild and easily managed. I'd hate you think you weren't thoroughly enjoying one of my favorite childhood haunts. :)

Oh, and I light a real cig every couple of weeks to remind myself that they taste like a cat's ..., to help reassure me that I'm not missing anything by not smoking cigs.

How did you find this out? :p Just teasin ya.

I'm so so so so thankful that I found vaping and yes, I'm another one who just wants more and more PV's. Luckily my budget keeps me tied down so I can't go crazy.

When I was smoking..if you asked me to go two hours without a cigarette, I'd start to get anxious and there would be no way I could make it....I HAD to smoke. Sometimes up to 6 in an hour while gaming or watching my favorite sports team play. With vaping, I can easily set it down and not vape for a few hours. The other day we had some severe weather here in KY and I had to leave on the spur of the moment. My battery died about half-way through waiting out the weather but it was no problem at all. I didn't get anxious, I didn't crave anything, I just waited about 3 hours until I could get back home to charge my battery. This is while everyone around me smoked cigarette after cigarette and I didn't even WANT one.

I always hated going to see movies in theaters, 2 hours was like a lifetime. My family also used to live in England, nothing like a 7 hour flight to really get those jitters going. I doubt I've gone longer than a couple hours without vaping, but I feel like I could if the need arose.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with my collection of lighters. >.>

I actually ran smack into this very problem about a week ago. I kept feeling like something was missing. Couldn't figure out what in the heck it was until I caught myself fingering the coin pocket of my jeans, which is where (for the better part of 25 years) my Bic lighter in its nickel-silver case would ride along with me. I didn't miss the pack of cigarettes... I missed the lighter!

So the lighter's back in my pocket, comfortably where it used to be, and now when my fingers absently brush there, the feeling of the lighter being there reassures me that all is well. Yeah, it, too, is a ritual.

Besides, it makes it so much easier to light the scented candles that I am finding I enjoy now. :)

I smoked for 43 years, PAD. I had a hard time with the first small (HD Smoke) batteries that I tried. A battery sometimes would not last as long as the other took to charge, some cartridges were half dried out before I bought them so I never knew how long one would last, flavours selection was terrible. They only had flavours that TASTED like cigs, no wonder I craved cigs. I usually got by on 2 - 4 a day. ... Then I got my eGo 1100 mah passthrough with the Star Dust tank and a good variety of juices. Now I do sometimes crave the nicotine but not a cig. With the passthrough I can plug into the USB and still vape while the battery is charging, even though the battery lasts for more than a day, as well. No more waiting for the charger to give me the "green light" to vape.

This is at least my 20th attempt, although it's not really an attempt to quit at all. There is no pressure to NOT have a cig. It would mean that I got my nicotine a different way, that's all. That being said, when I finally got "the real deal" I had 7 cigs left. If I threw them out, then if I caved I would have to buy a pack. Once I have a pack (from experience) I don't smoke one and throw the rest away, so I packed them carefully in a large pill bottle and taped it shut. If I need one I have one, don't have to go out and buy a pack, not tempted to "bum one" from someone. I have my own! And there they sit. Don't crave them, don't want them. Crave a vape, love the flavours, enjoying life!
My new heroes are canvape and jugheads. Thanks guys, you are saving lives.
Keep your wick wet!
