Next week I will get a crown to fix a chipped tooth. A couple of days later, i'm going in for a major cleaning-scaling and stuff. Has anybody else had these things done since they started vaping? If so, what type of interruption will this create in my all day-every day vaping habit, other than the obvious time while the work is being done?

I'm looking forward to getting the residue from 20+ years of 2+ packs/day removed from my mouth, but I don't look forward to having to put my pv down. Yeah, i'm a vaping addict, I know.

bander - I've had at least one crown put on since I started vaping (I have so many it's hard to keep them straight). It didn't interfere with my vaping at all.
As for the scaling, I can't tell you for sure, but I doubt it would be a problem. You might want to vape your nastiest juices until the novocaine wears off, since you won't be able to taste anything anyway. Good luck!!

Hi, I am a relatively new vaper, and new here. I went to the dentist recently for a routine cleaning, and I asked him specifically about it. He did not know beyond the 'mall kiosk' variety, but was intensely interested. He always smells minty (don't all dentists) and I realized he was probably a closet smoker. I added a line I usually say to smokers, "We're addicted to nicotine. We can live better without all the other combustion by-products". He was nodding so fervently asking for more info, I just got the feeling it was more on a personal level. He said he was interested in learning more, and in response to my questions about oral health, he said that it sounded much better than smoking. He was interested in learning more for "people he knew that smoked". I gave him the ECF addie...

Back in March I had a major cleaning (described by the tech as "Gross Debridement") LOL. No problem vaping after that procedure.

3 days later I had my last 2 wisdom teeth removed. With that, I had to be very careful. The pressure or suction from inhaling can cause a very painful condition called dry socket. But I made it thru all that too with no probs.
