So, I recently let my buddy borrow my setup for a night, and he lost it somehow. Anyways, he has offered to buy me a new one, and I'm a little stuck. The setup cost me about... $50 for the Vision VOT VV and Protank mini. I'm probably just going to take the money and spend another $20 or so to get nicer equipment. That said, this is what I've come up with...

Genuine Kamry K101 full set - 101 Vape

or

Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

Also, MBV is about to have a 20% off hardware sale, so I'm tempted to order stuff from them that isn't sold out at 101vape, even though it costs a bit more (also free shipping and free juice woo). I like the idea of having a mech, but I don't like the idea of having to pop batteries in and out all the time, and a kick sounds a little annoying to deal with as opposed to just pushing a button on the side of a mod. The MVP has a nice feature set, and is cheap/somewhat reliable, but this Kamry set is cheaper. Are the batteries/charger included throwaways? IDK. I was also hoping to get into RBA's. If I don't use SS/Pulse method, will I be fine with the MVP?

That brings me to RBA's... I'm thinking RSST or AGA-T2. The RSST seems really easy to set up, but I'm concerned about the tank being plastic. Is polypropylene ok? Isn't that what we use for gas cans, or is that HDPE? The AGA-T2 doesn't look as good to me, but it does have a glass tank, and it also has a bit more capacity... Do either of these have leaking issues? I was also tempted to just get a protank 2 and run microcoils... Which the MVP can certainly do, but I... agh. I'm so undecided.

Help?

I have both, and the AGA-t2 and RSST as well.

I like the MVP, but the batteries are internal. I love the VTR more, because the batteries are not.

I have 2 K100s and a K101. Nice little mech. I kick mine.

RBAs leak and are not really something I take out of the house. The AGA-t2 and the RSST are good RBAs to start with.

Really, I think it depends on what you want to do with it.

ETA: I don't bother building coils on regulated devices (MVP). And, I am wary of what juice I use in plastic. Never had an issue, but still....

I realize that the batteries are internal... I think the price point is a fair trade. I'm wanting to be able to take my device out of the house, and right now that places RBA's on the back burner I guess, and sorta limits the appeal of a mech a little.

Personally, I'd go with the MVP. Long battery life (2 - 3 days per charge; plus can be used as a passthru), no need to pay extra for batteries and a charger, comes with an iClear clearomizer in the kit. Built-in protective circuitry is a big plus compared to a mechanical mod which has none. Variable voltage to fine tune voltage to each flavor you use, plus voltage regulation which a mech mod won't have. You can put an RBA on a MVP, just can't do sub-ohm.

The mech mod kit doesn't say what batteries or charger it comes with; typically they are throwaways.

The RSST is said to be easier to learn on than the AGA-T2 (of which I have two). The RSST tank is polypropylene, which is safe to use with tank-cracking e-liquids, it's just frosted and not clear like polycarbonate or glass.

Carry on.

And with that... I'm kinda leaning toward the MVP and a protank... lol
