Sorry about the delay guys, I'm running around like a fart in a windstorm lately..8-o

Anyhoo, they've said that the original medications WERE working, but they want them to work faster, so they've added some more..still waiting to see..no pun intended

I hope you feel better very soon, Domino. I hope the higher levels of medications help - When will you get your next report?

Just did a search on this. It was short, but it doesn't look like there is much they can do about it.
I hope I'm wrong!!!

I read the opposite, jj. In most cases, it responds better the faster it's treated, though.

Detached Retina - AllAboutVision.com

I didn't read anything about treating it with pills as a first step (OR ANY!) - Domino, have you already had some surgery or freezing done?

If not, you may want to go to emerg this weekend. It doesn't seem like something that can be put off.

My heart goes out to you and I pray for your speedy and full recovery.

Wow -they determined it was corneal disease not detached retina.

Thanks for the correction, beebop.

I had to look that one up and there's like a zillion types.

Domino - I'm sure you and your doctor's are working hard together and you're making all the best choices you can. Obviously, we don't know what caused yours and I wouldn't share anything that could in any way set you up for a let down. I genuinely hope the increase in your meds work out for you and you have a good prognosis.

If you feel like it and feel up to sharing more, I hope you might clarify if the very positive outcomes listed here Cornea (Eyes): Conditions, Symptoms, and Treatments Information on Medicinenet.com have been mentioned to you. It says often medication is enough and other times surgery and they make synthetic corneas, which is just amazing they can do that.

If you can't see yet maybe you can connect a mic if you're up to it or while you're recovering. I'm sure everyone here would continue to support you through your ordeal.

...In the meantime, I'm keeping you in my prayers for a very speedy and full recovery.

Does anyone have her phone #? MK - maybe you could call her if she doesn't post soon and let her know we're thinking of her? (I fear a cat fight might break out if anyone just posted her phone #!!!:w00t:)

I hope she's okay...

Dom we are just confused here a bit...detached retina & cornea problems are 2 different things & we worry that if its detached retina you should get that fixed...we are not doctors, nor have we treated you.......(Humor);) Sorry about Payton Ouch!!!!!!!

Exactly (including the Ouch)

I'm glad you're able to post, Domino and let us know you're ok (I don't know what's up with 5card, either) The main thing is you're still in 'moving torwards recovery' zone. Better to be misdiagnosed with the worst than the other way around on that one, though I'm sure it doesn't feel that way. Thank heaven you have some time (and it seems a lot of strength) to make the best decision possible for a full recovery.

In the meantime, if it's not a strain on your eyes, we'd all luv to hear from you, generally and, of course about how you're progressing.

Still keeping you and now Payton, in my prayers....
