tl;dr
Crystal Wings is a menthol flavor with a solid throat hit and well-balanced flavor intensity. It tastes like Halls Mentho-lyptus cough drops. I rate it a 3 out of 5.

The Contract
A couple of weeks ago, James from DFWvapor.com offered me three free juices in exchange for my promise to review them. He was interested in honesty regarding my opinions of the juice itself, as well as the overall customer experience. As agreed, after letting the juices steep for a week, I now begin my end of the bargain. I hope to provide James with information he can use to improve his business, as well as provide his potential customers with a description of the juices I've tried as accurately as I can muster.

The Order
I was given a store credit sufficient to order 3 juices and to cover shipping for them. I also found a coupon code on RetailMeNot that knocks another $4 off shipping. So I figured, what the hell. As long as I'm ordering anyway, I might as well try a couple of those SmokTech carto tanks and a few spare cartos as well.

While shopping, I thought of a few questions about their products. The gentleman who answered the store's 800 number was patient in answering all my questions (Are the 3 ohm cartos two 1.5 ohm coils in series, or two 6 ohm coils in parallel? Is the heating element wire you sell nichrome or kanthal?).

I ordered on Friday the 21st and received my order the following Tuesday. My package contained three bottles of juice and two DCT tanks. However, it included none of the spare DCT cartos I ordered.

I continued the secret shopper thing, going through the 800 number and the web contact form to get the problem resolved. Eventually, as James concluded his observation of the cracks in the armor in his business as it were, he got my cartos to me.

The Juice
Crystal Wings tastes very similar to Halls Mentho-lyptus. It's pretty much menthol + eucalyptus, with no tobacco flavoring that I can tell (which might explain why it's in the Desserts section of the website I guess). It's not sweet.

One reviewer on the site compared it to Cap'n Crunch. Another likened it to chlorine-soaked cookie dough. This makes me curious about the consistency of DFWvapor.com's mixing process. What I got definitely tasted neither like Cap'n Crunch nor cookies 'n chlorine.

It's a tinny, ethereal taste with a cooling effect. It has a solid throat hit and well-balanced flavor intensity. People who chew menthol cough drops for fun and excitement should love this juice.

Denouement
I give the juice a rating of 3/5. Customer service thus far has been friendly without being irritatingly perky. What they do ship, they ship quickly.

Epilogue
James is eager to improve his business, and he is using my critique to help him identify and resolve problems. I predict great improvements in DFWvapor.com's consistency in the future. I will fulfill my end of the bargain soon, and then I will be ordering from them again.
