Ok it's bad stuff. Do you think e juice makers are still adding this to the juice?

what do you think the safest/healthiest e juice to vape?

thanks
Vendors don't add it, it's not a standalone chemical, it's part of buttery/custardy flavors. To my understanding it has been a known chemical to avoid and every vendor I've seen has the "no diacetyl" claim somewhere in their website. There's two substitutes being used now, acetoin and acetyl propionyl (not sure if that's how its spelled)

It is actually an ingredient used to give flavorings the buttery taste/feel. Most flavoring providers to the ejuice makers are now using alternative ingredients to achieve the same flavor. The problem is, no one knows if the alternative is any safer than Diacetyl.

The safest is unflavored juice which some people enjoy.

Everything in moderation, the popcorn lung was found in people after they had worked 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week and exposed in EVERY breath they took. That's far different from what we, as vapers, experience to say the least. Is it bad, sure it is, but let's be realistic here for a moment. We inhaled far worse from analogs and there's ZERO chance we would get anywhere near the diacetyl unless we chain vaped it at the same exposure duration(years) and amounts, which we dont.

Breathing in some major cities is at least as hazardous as vaping and truly the only safe thing is not inhaling anything but fresh air, far from cities, cars, factories, etc.

Diacetyl in room exposure to something cooking gets to mix and dilute with fresh air. We vape it right out of the atomizer bowl straight into the lungs.

I don't want it in my ecig. I can do without butter flavorings.

Diacetyl, is in some e-liquid and people still use it. Some shops now test for it, and will not sell any liquid with it. Diacetyl that is found in most e-liguids have been found to be 10-50x the allowable by NIOSH. So personally I would not like to find it in my juice. Especially since I quit smoking 3 years ago, I believe why vape it if you don't have to, why do more damage to your body than you have to.
