Oh Eleanor me too...I ordered a Gold and Matte Black Regular both with Red LED (Iowa State Gold & Red - Black as it will go with everything I have grown quite fond of the regulars - may not last quite as long as the XL but they are so much easier to tuck in a jacket pocket etc. I will just give my dad a couple of my xl manuals - he will be thrilled and I won't have to feel so guilty

That gold looks like a truer gold than older VKs (no green tinge) . . . I just may have to get one, even before the manuals come out!
