What I have noticed are at least 3 factors affect how a person reacts to different flavors.
1) The most obvious is new taste bud growth not being damaged and killed off by smoke
2) Seasons - This will affect a lot if not most people. Even daily stuff we eat and drink changes with the seasons. In vaping, I have noticed 2 major brackets due to temperature shift here where I live with customers. Fall to winter - Heavier, more comforting flavors (savory, bakery, pastry, highly rich and complex flavors). Spring to Summer - Lighter, brighter, sharper, fruitier, more bouyant, and complex fruit combination flavors
3) Boredom of a particular flavor group for extended periods, a lot of users search for a change up flavor for about a week before returning to their usual flavor group or favorite ADV.
Presently I am moving away from my summertime treat flavors into the richer savory and bakery complex flavors as things cool off finally. Past several months I have also noticed I am going through more un-flavored liquid than my tobacco flavors as my ADV, as well as a drop off in how much I vape on my change up flavors. Tastes change in cycles, always will I guess.
